PGH Dynasty Region Finals 1st 17u All Tournament First team

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Picking out 15 players in a tournament with type of talent is tough. The young ladies made the First team All-Tournament team in the 17 under division. I have not stats to go off just pen, paper and eyes. I tried to get to as many games as possible. Not knowing the rankings before I see her play I can see why she is ranked #2 in her class. Strong skill set at all phases of the game. Check out the article below for my evaluation. The first game I watched was on fire from the 3-point area. As teams ran her off the line, I was able to see a very nice mid-range game of jump shots and assists. Listed as a shooting guard but showed good enough handles to be that combo guard if needed. Smart decision on offensive with very limited turnovers. A very smooth player with ball in hand that is looking for the best scoring option for her team. Tough shooter off the bounce that forced the defense to stay up and fight over any ball screens. Good decisions on the pick and roll action using the draw dribble giving the time for the post to roll then throwing a dart to the post for the score. Outstanding shooter with the deep 3 or mid-jump shot. Solid defender that talked out the coverage on ball screens and in transition defense. Long wingspan and very quick hands gave the opposing team a tough time getting into sets. The ability to time the poke on the ballhandler for the steals was impressive. Quick first step off the catch and rip that got her to the middle of the paint where she could make an athletic play. Always crashing the boards from the weakside scoring on multiple putbacks. A highly rated guard in the Amarillo area after doing some homework. Deep range on the 3-point shot as well as a strong mid-range game. On the drives a player that did not mind the contact as she ended up at the charity strip often, very hard worker on both ends of the court.
