Celebrating Senior Talent in Girls Basketball

I have been covering these girls for a while now, and it has truly been a blessing to see the maturation process of so many. From little-known kids to impact players, this senior class will be bittersweet as they take the floor for one more last go around.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When I tell you this class is truly special, so many of them have eclipsed some great heights. I'm talking about champions, all-tournament teams, all-region teams, district MVP, and the list goes on. Add in their accolades and body of work they have done on the circuit, these kids truly have made a difference for the prospective school teams. They have not only helped create the standard but raised the bar for those behind them to follow. So many of them will go on to play at the next level. This article isn't a swan song or anything like that, but just an article to write about some young ladies who will have a special season this upcoming year (Oh, please believe there will be more than 5 kids who will have a great senior season. She is a 3-level scoring threat who can attack downhill or knock it down from the arc. This kid plays the game the right way, doing the little things to help her ball club win. What I love about her is how she approaches the game. She is willing to do whatever it takes to help propel her ballclub. Whatever the assignment, she is going to excel at it. Whether that is locking up on the defensive end or going to get a bucket, she is going to give it her all and then some. This kid is about to take the league by storm and pick up where she left off. A heady ballplayer who can fill it up from multiple spots on the floor. Sure, she is a sharpshooter from the arc, but she won't hesitate to put it on the floor and go get a bucket. She's primed and ready to return back to the hardwood. She has been working her tail off, and she is ready to come back this last ride and make some noise. A motored-up kid who creates chaos on both ends of the floor. She is a heady PG who can run any offense efficiently and effectively. She can score the rock at will, but her MO is getting others involved. She competes on both ends of the floor, causing panic and confusion. Look for her to be an important piece of the Lady Lions' attack this upcoming season. A solid two-way player who has tight handles and can deliver the rock with ease. She sets her teammates up for success by penetrating gaps to either kick out or dump it down to the low blocks. She can score from multiple spots on the floor, defend, and contribute in multiple ways. Powerful. A solid force in the painted areas, this kid is a difference maker and will be an important piece to Silverdale's success. She is great in so many actions: pick n' roll, pick n' pop, trail situations, rim runner. When the ball is in her hands, good things tend to happen. The mid-range, low block areas, that's where she makes her money. Defensively, she blocks shots, gains rebounds, and deters anyone from positioning in the low block areas. She and her team will look to reach new heights this upcoming season.
