<p>Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at a group of talented Class of 2029 point/combo guards who caught our eye at the first session of the Run 4 Roses in Louisville.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='913052' first='McKayla' last='Ledsworth'] ([program_tooltip program_id='712484' first='Della' last='Lamb'] 15U): A talented 5'7" point guard who is one of the best in the class. She was playing up at 15U and she helped Della to a Platinum Division championship. She's a good athlete who combines good playmaking skills with the ability to get buckets. She can hit the open 3-point shot and she can also create her own shot off the dribble. She's headed to Lee's Summit West.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1279115' first='Aniyah' last='Poniewaz'] (MO Phenom 15U/Robinson): A 5'4" point guard who led her team to a Platinum Division championship while playing up at 15U. She has a nice combination of strength and quickness to go along with a high basketball IQ. She knows when to attack and when to back it out and initiate the offense. She was able to thrive in clutch situations with her ability to get into the lane and get tough buckets. She also excels in running the pick and roll.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1279125' first='Rylii' last='Franklin'] (Phee Elite 15U/Brumley): A 5'7" point guard who did an excellent job while playing up at the 15U level. She uses her athleticism and good defensive instincts to be very disruptive. She can pressure the ball and play the passing lanes. She can also dribble through pressure defense and attack the basket for a shot or a nice drop off for an assist. She can also hit the pull up jumper.</p>

She uses her strength and quickness to impact the game at both ends of the court. She powers her way into the lane on the drive to score. She was also hitting the 3-pointer from the corner. She also excels on the top of the full-court press on defense.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='948836' first='Camille' last='Ochs'] ([program_tooltip program_id='712597' first='Knights' last='Basketball Academy'] 14U/Donald): A 5'6" point guard from Incarnate Word who is quick and does a good job of turning the corner and getting downhill off the dribble weave action. The young lefty can shoot the 3-pointer and she can also use her court vision to thread the needle through the lane, which led to easy baskets.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1279166' first='Madelyn' last='Leivann'] (J&E Elite 15U): A 5'6" point guard who is expected to join a talented Miller varsity unit which includes her older sister Loghann. She ahs good quickness and solid handles. She went coast to coast on a drive and finished with a left-handed layup, which was her opposite hand. Very nice. She excels in the open court. She can also distribute the ball and shoot it.</p>

<p>Riann Stevenson (KC Dream 15U/Webb): A 5'4" point guard who is headed to Blue Springs South. She helped her team win a Platinum Division championship while playing up with her 14U squad. She has tremendous speed and quickness, which she displayed on her dribble penetration, even against a zone defense. She also hit a couple of open 3-pointers in the championship game.</p>

She's quick and shifty with the ball and she has a nice feel for the game. She operates well when she gets two feet in the paint on the drive.</p>

<p>Brynn Banderman ([program_tooltip program_id='948123' first='TC' last='Hoops'] 14U): A 5'4" point guard from Jackson who helps set the tone for her team's up-tempo full-court pressing defense with her speed and tenacity. She guards the ball full court without let up. She is always pushing the pace on offense with her dribble penetration. She also distributes the ball very well.</p>

<p>Nora Allen (MO Phenom 14U/STL): A 5'9" point guard from Francis Howell Central who is one of the strongest in the class at her position. She uses her strength and physicality to strong-arm smaller guards on the drive. She will also back them down into the low post, where she can score over them or draw the double and kick out to an open shooter. She has a quick release of her perimeter shot. She also shoots the passing lanes well on defense with her good instincts.</p>

She comes off screens well and she has a quick release on her shot. She can also change speeds to keep defenders off balance. She can get by on the straight line drive or she has a nice stop, dead-leg move that freezes a defender in her tracks.</p>

She is a good playmaker on the offensive end with her ball handling and ability to find open teammates with her pinpoint passing. She can also shoot it off the dribble.</p>

<p>Allie Petrus (MO Tribe 16U): A 5'4" guard from the SWMO area who was playing two years up at the 16U level and holding her own quite well. I was impressed with her speed and quickness and moving the ball upcourt. She handles the ball well and can break down a defender off the dribble. She can also hit the pull up jumper and the 3-pointer. She will be attending West Plains.</p>

She was advancing the ball upcourt with the long pass to give her team an advantage. She could ring the bell from 3-point range with a quick release. She made good use of the shot fake to set up the drive against the close out.</p>
