There have been some quality open runs being put together and about 12-15 girls from across the state have been invited to play while they get ready for games this weekend. We have been given access to come evaluate and there is a lot of girls making improvements to their game.

Notable Improvement

Madeline Pope || Lone Peak || 2028 ||

Pope has really worked on her perimeter game this offseason and is a true wing that will likely need to play the 2 at the next level. With that said her shooting has improved and it starts with her mechanics. Her shot looks more fluid and she is able to show that she can shoot off the dribble, she can shoot on the move and she is shot ready in the catch and shoot. Attacking the rim she is finding different ways to finish against different defenders. Her overall improvement is very noticeable. Defensively she has been great as she defends almost every position and holds her own. Her defensive foot work and the ground she has been covering was on display for sure. A rising two way player in the loaded Class of 2028.

[player_tooltip player_id='825055' first='Grace' last='Gallagher'] || Hunter || 2027 ||

Gallagher is going to have an opportunity to be among the best shot blockers in the state. She has great timing and her second jump is elite. She has a great wingspan and her upside on offense and deffense has been really impressive. She is getting better going over both shoulders and her ceiling is high. She is likely going to be a player a team needs to continue to develop but she could be a steal. She is on the rise when it comes to her development.

Next Level Skills

[player_tooltip player_id='789082' first='Olivia' last='Stephens'] || Alta || 2026 ||

The Utah Valley University signee looked sharp. Her strength and speed combined was elite and her pace is much more under control. At times you could tell she could take the ball off the dribble and score and you can see that she was open but she was looking for her teammates and finding a better shot for herself or others. She will be able to bring that to the next level because her game translates and her quickness will allow her to pester another guard the length of the floor.

Inside/Outside Development

[player_tooltip player_id='950220' first='Kelcee' last='Rasmussen'] || Lehi || 2028 ||

Rasmussen was running the floor well and her presence inside is solid. She can sure do work on the block but also a little bit off the block. Her ouch has improved and so has her foot-speed. She is turning into a threat running the floor. She has also started to step outside and shoot with confidence. Her shooting is great because she will likely be a 4 at the next level and if she can shoot the ball better she elevates her stock.

Ready to Make Noise

[player_tooltip player_id='875188' first='Elena' last='Chiara'] || Skyridge || 2028 ||

Chiara is going to be a problem. She brings a bit of shiftiness to the floor but she is under control. She keeps her vision up and does not make wild passes. She keeps it simple and that allows her to get down-hill. She has a variety of finishing moves and she could easily score the ball. Look for her to be a stat stuffer in all aspect of the game next season.
