The past six days in Louisville were a surreal experience for multiple reasons. Outside of the chaos from a few days ago, there were plenty of players who stood out from all over the gym. Today, before I head to Chicago, I'd like to highlight a few names I was impressed by in the week I was at Run 4 Roses.

[player_tooltip player_id='751258' first='Elle' last='Krull']

The Xavier guard has always been an excellent perimeter defender and played well on that end of the floor in Louisville. However, I thought she looked the most confident I've ever seen her on the offensive end of the floor. She shot the ball well in the games I watched her play and was confident enough to attack off the dribble whenever she had space to attack. It felt like she was turning a corner.

[player_tooltip player_id='649413' first='Ava' last='Wagner']

The Pardeeville native is a physical presence around the basket. Wagner is a double-double threat whenever she steps on the floor. Her ability to control the area around the basket on both ends of the floor allowed her team to go on a run and turn a competitive game into a blowout by the end of the game. She may not have a flashy game, but she's a productive player.

[player_tooltip player_id='751291' first='Grace' last='Mitchell']

The Winneconne wing has always been a talented player, but has been inconsistent in the past. Her Wolves' team has always asked her to be the engine of what they do on the offensive end of the floor. Mitchell was an excellent offensive player in Louisville. She shot the ball well, passed well out of the high post, attacked off the dribble, and was the best rebounder on the floor. Mitchell can do a little of everything, and she showed her versatility every time she stepped on the floor at the Kentucky Expo Center.

[player_tooltip player_id='876098' first='Jaedyn' last='Zdroik']

The [program_tooltip program_id='713332' first='Team' last='Wisconsin'] guard was impressive when I watched her play on Tuesday. She has the size and ability to create that make her a challenging matchup for anyone who lines up against her. Zdroik consistently beat her initial defender off the dribble. I thought she passed the ball well and also forced defenders to help to keep her out of the paint. The Pacelli guard also shot the ball better than I expected her to, and was a threat to knock down perimeter jumpers whenever she had time and space, converting some significant ones.
