I am looking forward to watching all of the talent in the 2A classification this season, including these stars.

Colleges are finally starting to see the hype around [player_tooltip player_id='952547' first='Kenady' last='Barrett']. Just a couple of days ago, she received a D1 offer from Murray State, and that is just the beginning.

Barrett is a dynamic scorer who can get buckets any way she pleases. Whether she is called to create her shot from beyond the arc or from the mid-range area, she can get it done with ease. Her handle can also get her into space, where she has the ability to finish inside.

[player_tooltip player_id='952547' first='Kenady' last='Barrett'] is quickly becoming a superstar in this state, and she is far from finished. Murray State was her most recent offer after offers from Louisiana Tech, UCA, and Tulsa. The Division I calls will keep piling up, so stay tuned for Poyen's go-to star.

Since her freshman year, [player_tooltip player_id='1060807' first='Da'Mya' last='Wilson'] has been one of the best scorers in the state of Arkansas. That remains the same as she heads into her final season of high school basketball.

Like all of the players I talk about in this article, Wilson can score from anywhere. She is a strong 3-point shooter who can light up the opposition at any moment. If they come out to contest her outside shots, she can simply step in and knock down a jumper from inside the arc. If a lane to the basket opens up, she will not hesitate to go right at the teeth of the defense.

Wilson is a proven scorer, already surpassing the 50-point in her career after scoring 55 points in a game during her freshman campaign with Barton. She is also a solid rebounder and defender, who can get her teammates involved in the game plan.

[player_tooltip player_id='1060807' first='Da'Mya' last='Wilson'] should be getting more collegiate attention as her senior season commenced. Regardless, she will be one of the exciting players in the state in 2025-26.

As far as I can tell, [player_tooltip player_id='877661' first='Rylee' last='Wilburn'] does not have any offers, which is blasphemy. Despite this, she is still one of the best players in the 2027 class, and one of 2A's most lethal scorers.

Wilburn has already surpassed 1,000 career points in just two seasons of high school ball, and it is no wonder, consider she averaged nearly 20 points per game during the regular season. In the playoffs, the Rector star averaged over 25 points per game, while showcasing her incredible passing, rebounding, and defending abilities.

When you break down the junior guard's offensive game, it is clear that her biggest strength is her outside shooting. Even her profile picture on this site is a picture of her shooting a triple. She nails these shots at an efficient rate, but if the outside shot is not open, Wilburn will drive inside and find other ways to score.

[player_tooltip player_id='877661' first='Rylee' last='Wilburn'] is one heck of a scorer, and she will continue to light up 2A defenses as we head into the 2025-26 season. The offers have to be coming in sooner rather than later for this star.

Junction City has a lot of talent. That talent is led by an incoming sophomore: [player_tooltip player_id='1180575' first='McKenzie' last='Flowers'].

Flowers averaged just over 20 points per game during her freshman year and I could see her doing that again as a sophomore. She is a legitimate 3-point shooting threat who can get going in an instant. Flowers can also attack the basket fearlessly.

On the defensive end, Flowers is great at forcing turnovers and converting those opportunities into buckets. She can pick pockets and intercept sloppy passes, and with her speed, she can get down to the other end of the court in no time.

[player_tooltip player_id='1180575' first='McKenzie' last='Flowers'] is quickly becoming one of the best scorers in the 2028 class, and I would imagine she rises in the rankings very soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090293' first='Allison' last='Gaines'] is an excellent scoring guard coming out of East Poinsett County. Through just two seasons of high school basketball, she has shown that she can get buckets in just a few moments.

Gaines averaged 14.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 3.0 steals per game during the 2024-25 season. She can hit the outside shot, but she is at her best when attacking the basket. It is full-steam ahead for Gaines when she is driving to the rim, and there are not many players who can actually slow her down.

As the 3.0 steals per game will suggest, she is a phenomenal defender. She knows how to overwhelm opposing ball-handlers, forcing them to cough the ball up. From there, she turns the new possession into points on the fastbreak. She can also block some shots, blocking 0.4 shots a game, which is not too bad for a guard.

[player_tooltip player_id='1090293' first='Allison' last='Gaines'] is one of the most underrated guards in the 2A classification, but one of the more exciting players in this classification to watch.
