Prep Girls Hoops The Expo: Team One Evaluations

The Prep Hoops Expo was a showcase of exceptional talent, with girls from across the state stepping up to compete and make their mark in the game. This article highlights players from Team 1, a squad packed with talented athletes who left everything on the court in each game. Their level of competition was intense, and every player contributed a distinct skill set to elevate their team. This is the first installment focusing on the standout players from Team 1, setting the stage for an exciting showcase of future stars.    Thibodeuax was on fire from the start of the camp and I had to compliment her for her ability to knock down step back three balls with confidence and consistency. She is a savvy ball handler that plays with a ton of poise. She is a special talent and a tough competitor on both sides of the ball. MJ was a top player in the gym in each competition. I want to call her a shooter, but she is also a playmaker, defender and just a fierce competitor. MJ is definitely a player to know on the girls scene.     Stewart spent the day showcasing her on court abilities by scoring, defending, rebounding, facilitating and leading. She is one of the top players in the state for a reason, and she is a great example for younger players on how to approach the game. She is a trusted three level scorer, but thrives when the game is physical. She plays the game with poise, but is also a brute in the paint. She is a college level player and will compliment any roster at the next level.     Semien played the perfect complimentary role on Team One with two dominant scorers. She demonstrated high basketball IQ by moving without the ball, and converting on her scoring opportunities. She is a trusted finisher around the rim, and in open court situations. She is a willing defender and an effective rebounder. Semien is a great developing talent that is poised make some noise in the coming season.     Broussard is a shifty guard that plays with great pace and demonstrated her high basketball IQ by running the offense on most possessions. She has the skill to maintain her dribble while the court opens up, the IQ to make passses on time and in the right positions. On top of all that she is a downhill player that forces the defense to make decisions, which she uses to make others better. She is definitely a skilled player and a name to know in her class.     Ingram is a special player with skill beyond her classification. She is an elite ball handler with a shiftiness about her game that generally comes with older players. She is aggressive with the ball with the build of a wing player, she looks to be a point guard in the making. Her on court confidence is undeniable and her skill set is developing fast. She changes directions with ease and plays with her head up to make plays for her team mates. Excellent showing for this bright young rising star.
