The W League: Jamboree Standouts Part 1

This gives me a lot of opportunities to watch middle and high school talent in the area. The W League is the first to get started with their Middle School Jamboree. She was constantly around the ball and in position to get shots. One of the first things I noticed about her after grabbing a rebound was that she had great hands. She snatched a rebound and put it back up with ease.  I couldn't tell if she was a guard or a post. She spent a lot of time in the paint getting high percentage shots. Shooter! is what teams should be yelling about this 8th grader. She has that 3 point shooting stroke on offense. Knocking down long range shots is just one part of her game. I give her 6'+ as her height. She started the game showing her range with a long 2. As the game continued, she showed her back to basket abilities and that she can finish with both hands. She is a talent to watch. This 6th grader guard bullied her way into the paint over and over and over again.  Attacking to the paint wasn't the only thing she displayed.
