There were a lot of tie ups, blocks, and bodies on the floor. My first time watching her play she was all about getting into the paint. Yet, today her defender took that away. No problem. She scored from the 3 point line even knocking down a three in her defender's face. What makes her extremely effective and dangerous is here vision and composure. She finds her teammates in transition. She also understands how to attack and draw defenders to pitch out to teammates. She has quick feet and hands. If the ball isn't protected, she is taking it away. On offense, she is very good at creating opportunities for herself by using a crossover or going between her legs. Her shots tonight were from getting steals, to the basket and to the free throw line. The last time I saw Laila play a lot of her action was with the right hand. Tonight, she showed that she can be just as effective with her left for the attack or a layup finish. She has a long, slim type frame.
