The Indiana Expo: Team-4 Review

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Saturday marked the sixth annual Prep Girls Hoops Top 250 Expo in Indiana. This year, the event took place at the newer Farmers Bank Fieldhouse in Lebanon, Indiana, with five teams and more than 40 girls in the 2026 &amp; 2027 classes scheduled in attendance. Below is a look at those prospects who participated with Team-4 throughout the day's 5 vs 5 action.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><font color="FFFFFF">.</font></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><font size="+1">#304 - [player_tooltip player_id='989375' first='Mayzon' last='Win'], 2027, 5-2 PG, New Haven H.S.</font></strong><br>Mayzon is a truly enjoyable player to watch. She is little, but she's quick, fast, and crafty with the ball. She does a nice job of understanding her limitations, she takes care of the basketball, and she gets it where it needs to go. She's also a gnat of a defender who can frustrate opposing ball-handlers. I think she could be a steal for some small college programs if they like little guards.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><font size="+1">#305 - [player_tooltip player_id='751076' first='Jayla' last='Miller'], 2027, 5-4 PG, Lawrence North H.S.</font></strong><br>Jayla is a Summer transfer from Pike High School, and she should carve out some minutes for a solid Wildcat squad in 2025-2026. She has length, she's a fairly fluid athlete, and she does a nice job of both handling the ball and knocking down open rhythm jumpers. She always seems to play hard when I watch her, and Saturday was the best I've seen her pass the basketball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><font size="+1">#306 - [player_tooltip player_id='1291713' first='Larya' last='Nickson'], 2027, 5-5 CG, Pike H.S.</font></strong><br>Saturday was my first opportunity to see Larya play, and she is intriguing. She is strong, she plays compact, and she does a solid job of pushing the ball in transition and getting into the heart of the defense. I didn't see her shoot it often from outside, but when she was able to turn the corner and get downhill, she was very difficult to stop. I also liked her energy defensively.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><font size="+1">#329 - [player_tooltip player_id='992534' first='Hayden' last='O'Connor'], 2027, 5-7 SG, Ben Davis H.S.</font></strong><br>Hayden is a nice, fundamental worker. Every time I've seen her play, she goes hard, she does a lot of the "little things", plus she is versatile skillfully. She can handle the ball a little, she has some touch from the perimeter, and she is willing to play physical and battle inside. I think her combination of basketball IQ and skill will draw her interest from several small colleges.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><font size="+1">#332 - [player_tooltip player_id='949526' first='Olivia' last='Conklin'], 2027, 5-7 SG, Yorktown H.S.</font></strong><br>Olivia is an absolute gym rat, and you can tell by how much she has improved since her Freshman year. She has become a dangerous 3-point shooter, she has improved her handle, and as she has grown, she has gotten stronger, more balanced, and more explosive. She looks primed to have a big Winter, Spring, and Summer ahead, and she could be a nice small college find.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><font size="+1">#353 - [player_tooltip player_id='751068' first='Hazel' last='Melton'], 2027, 5-11 PF, Tecumseh H.S.</font></strong><br>This was my first opportunity to see Hazel at length, and she showed some nice potential along the frontline. She was very active, worked hard, and hustled up &amp; down the floor. She was willing to be physical inside, rebound, and defend, but she also flashed some skill in the mid-post, and came up with a lot of hustle plays. I think she's a "culture" type of kid who can help.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><font size="+1">#368 - [player_tooltip player_id='890884' first='McKenzi' last='Rutland'], 2027, 5-9 PF, North Central H.S. (Indianapolis)</font></strong><br>McKenzi is deceptively effective. First, at 5-9, I'm would imagine a lot of people overlook her and try to "out-size" her inside. But she is strong, very physical, and tough-nosed. She never backs down from a challenge, plus she combines power with soft hands, touch to 15-feet, and nice skill with either hand around the basket. She has double-double potential each time she takes the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
