Top Young Female Athletes Making Waves in Basketball

Parents would remember a rapper called “DMX.” Mr. Roughrider himself came out with a song called “Who we be.” I'm not trying to date myself, nor am I saying this song is an all-time favorite of mine. What I am trying to portray is this: we have some young ladies out there who a lot of people don't know. Well, at least not yet, I might add. Some may be late bloomers. Some, may be their opportunity to solidify some important court time. Some may have transferred and are now in a better situation. My thing is, we are about to find out who they are.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>All across the state, girls are adding value to who they are. You are more than just a ball player. You are a student athlete who is a part of the fabric of a state filled with rich women's basketball history. She plays the game with tons of energy and effort. A ball of relentless energy, she plays the game on both ends like it's nobody's business. Defensively, she is going to rebound, block shots, and use her length to create tough situations. When her squad gains possession, she is going to sprint down the floor, looking for the ball to be thrown over the top so she can finish. If it's a set play, look for her to exploit the opponent from multiple spots on the floor as she gets buckets. Blessed with height, soft hands, and an understanding of the game, this kid is going to elevate this ball club. With her in the middle, teams will be doing their best to gameplan away from her. Look for her to attract the eyes of coaches along the way.
