This past weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the 2025 Halloween Showcase at UNRKED Courts in Indianapolis. The event brought together some of the top Class of 2030 players from Indiana and California, along with a couple of strong 2031 teams that weren't afraid to compete at a high level. Teams in attendance included [program_tooltip program_id='1002297' first='IGB' last=''] 2030, [program_tooltip program_id='1002297' first='IGB' last=''] Shade, Legends U, Prodigy (California), StoneCold Shooting, Where2Next (Ohio), West Virginia Thunder, and Wisconsin Lakers. Each team played four games, using a 5-on-5 format with two 20-minute running halves. From start to finish, the event was well-organized and ran smoothly. The level of competition was impressive, with talented players representing over five different states. It was great to see so many skilled athletes competing hard, showing their passion for the game, and pushing each other to get better. Overall, the showcase was a great experience — not only to watch high-level basketball but also to connect with players and programs from different regions. Events like this really highlight how strong the girls' basketball scene continues to grow across the country.

Bryce Webster continues to elevate her name among Indiana's top 2030 prospects, and this past weekend was another strong showing of her growth and maturity on the floor. She displayed a polished offensive skill set, scoring effectively from all three levels and showing an advanced understanding of when to attack, pass, or pull up for a jumper. Webster plays with excellent pace never rushed, always under control and her ability to let the game come to her separates her from many players her age. What makes Webster special is her consistency and feel for the game. She doesn't rely on one skill to stand out; instead, she impacts in multiple ways whether that's through scoring, facilitating, or defending. As she continues to develop physically and refine her scoring efficiency, she projects as a versatile two-way guard who can lead a team at the next level. With one more year before entering high school, Webster is on track to be an immediate contributor for the Sheridan girls basketball program and a player to watch in Indiana's 2030 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1112872' first='Katelyn' last='Tofani'] continues to prove why she's such a dangerous presence on the floor with her ability to score, facilitate, and compete at a high level. She excels in transition, constantly putting pressure on defenses with her pace and court vision. Whether spotting up or coming off screens, Tofani consistently finds ways to get open and knock down shots with confidence. Her ability to read defenses and make the right play whether that's hitting the screener on a slip or creating her own shot off the bounce showcases a mature offensive skill set beyond her age. In a matchup against one of California's top guards, Tofani stood out for her poise and competitiveness. She traded baskets in a back-and-forth battle, showing that she can perform under pressure and rise to the level of elite competition. Beyond her scoring, she also displayed leadership qualities communicating on both ends and keeping her teammates engaged throughout the game. Tofani's combination of shooting touch, basketball IQ, and composure makes her one of the most intriguing young guards in the 2030 class. With continued development and confidence, she's poised to make an immediate impact at Hamilton Southeastern next season and could emerge as one of the program's next standout guards.

Harper Scaringe made a strong impression this past weekend, continuing to solidify her reputation as one of Indiana's premier young guards in the 2030 class. She displayed exceptional command of the game, controlling tempo with a veteran-like presence. Whether pushing the pace in transition or slowing things down to execute in the half court, Scaringe showed a deep understanding of when and how to make plays. Offensively, she's a complete threat with the ball in her hands. Scaringe has the handle and confidence to create off the dribble, attack gaps, and score efficiently from all three levels. She consistently came off screens with intent—reading defenders and making quick decisions to pull up for mid-range jumpers, attack the basket, or find open teammates. Her shot selection and balance allow her to convert difficult looks, and she plays with a calm, controlled rhythm that sets her apart from most guards her age. Scaringe's quickness and anticipation make her a problem for opposing guards. She applies strong on-ball pressure, disrupts passing lanes, and forces turnovers with her active hands and sharp instincts. Her competitiveness and leadership qualities were evident throughout the weekend, as she set the tone on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='1247914' first='Journie' last='Johnson'] brought energy and intensity on both ends of the floor this past weekend. Defensively, she was active and disruptive, constantly around the ball and forcing tough plays for opponents. Offensively, Johnson continues to elevate her game with improved consistency as a three-level scorer. She attacked the rim with control, showing the ability to finish through contact or make smart reads to find open teammates. With one more year before entering high school, Johnson's combination of scoring ability and defensive presence will make her a valuable addition to the Northwestern girls basketball program next season.

Cayla Murray was one of the most impressive 2030 prospects in the gym and continues to build her case as one of the top players in her class nationwide. Already well-established on the California circuit, Murray showcased a mature and well-rounded game that separates her from her peers. She has an exceptional sense of tempo, knowing exactly when to push the pace or slow the game down to her advantage. Offensively, Murray was in complete control—knocking down shots from deep with remarkable consistency. She displayed limitless range, including a standout 6-for-8 performance from beyond the arc against the Wisconsin Lakers. Her ability to shoot off the catch or off the dribble forces defenses to extend far beyond the three-point line, opening lanes for teammates and giving her team a major offensive weapon. Murray is a special talent to watch closely as she transitions into high school—poised to make an immediate impact at the next level.

From the first time seeing Breya play to now, her development has been evident—particularly in her shooting confidence and consistency. She's established herself as a reliable perimeter threat, capable of stretching the floor and knocking down shots in rhythm. In a matchup against a strong Prodigy Elite team, Breya connected on at least four three-pointers, earning instant recognition from the opposing sideline as “the shooter.” What stands out about Breya's game is her shot preparation and composure. She spaces the floor well, stays ready to shoot, and doesn't hesitate when given an open look. Her footwork and form remain consistent, allowing her to hit shots off the catch or a quick relocation. With her shooting touch, court awareness, and steady growth, she projects to be an immediate contributor and a valuable addition to a talented 2030 class joining Lawrence Central next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1353435' first='Kinsley' last='Scaringe'] continues to impress as one of the most dynamic young guards in Indiana's 2030 class. She plays with creativity, confidence, and a strong understanding of how to use her speed and quickness to her advantage. With the ball in her hands, she's difficult to contain—attacking downhill with purpose and showing excellent body control when finishing through or around contact. What stood out most this past weekend was her perimeter shooting. Scaringe knocked down shots from beyond the three-point line with consistency and confidence, keeping defenders honest and opening up driving lanes for herself and teammates. Her ability to read help defense and make in-the-moment adjustments—whether pulling up for a jumper, hitting a floater, or kicking out to an open teammate—highlights her strong feel for the game. With one more year before entering high school, she's poised to make an immediate impact for the Center Grove program.
