What was once 3A Region 14 has now been completely reshuffled, spreading teams across several new regions. Juan Diego and Judge Memorial make the jump from 3A to 4A, joining a group that will look very different this season. Meanwhile, East and Highland move down from 5A Region 6, bringing higher-level experience into the mix. On the other side, Hillcrest, Stansbury, and Tooele have exited the region, leaving room for a new competitive balance. This realignment sets up an intriguing blend of styles and talent — some teams may find the transition smoother, while others could face a tougher road adjusting to new opponents and pace.

Cottonwood

Record: 17-5. 1st in Region 10

Cottonwood sat atop the region last season thanks to a senior-heavy roster that carried much of the load. With that group now gone, the Colts enter a transition year where new leaders will need to emerge. [player_tooltip player_id='1240266' first='Lexi' last='Tripp'] and [player_tooltip player_id='796803' first='Carley' last='Caton'] showed flashes of promise last season, and [player_tooltip player_id='1356503' first='Savannah' last='Staheli'] looks poised to be the spark that keeps this team competing. Her energy and intensity could set the tone, but Cottonwood will have to piece together a new rotation and find consistent scoring if they want to stay in the hunt for the top spot in the region.

Jordan

Record: 16-10. 2nd in Region 10

[player_tooltip player_id='827421' first='Paige' last='Smith'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1363480' first='June' last='Joseph'] were key pieces for Jordan last season, and even with a few seniors graduating—most being role players—the Beetdiggers should still have a solid chance to stay competitive in this region. The core remains intact, and their experience gives them a strong baseline to build from. Stepping into one of the open spots left by a departing contributor, [player_tooltip player_id='884227' first='Bergen' last='Jettie'] is poised to take on a bigger role. With her stepping up alongside Paige and June, Jordan has the potential not only to maintain its standing but possibly climb even higher this year.

Murray

Record: 4th in Region 10

Graduating three seniors puts Murray in an interesting position this year, but the Spartans may be better set up for success than it looks on paper. Many of last season's impact players were underclassmen—[player_tooltip player_id='1363486' first='Grace' last='Taeoalii'], Brinley Forsyth, and [player_tooltip player_id='827417' first='Brooklyn' last='Richter'] all logged meaningful minutes and gained valuable experience. Add in [player_tooltip player_id='796894' first='Felita' last='Tauvao'] transferring in from Jordan, along with the contributions of [player_tooltip player_id='1240264' first='Bailey' last='Trujillo'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1243028' first='Elisabeth' last='Behunin'], and Murray has the pieces to stay competitive. The biggest factor will be how quickly this group can build chemistry. If they can click early, Murray could surprise people in the region.

Park City

Record: 4-17. 6th in Region 10

Losing only two seniors, Park City has plenty of ground to cover, but returning an entire starting lineup puts them in a strong position to do it. [player_tooltip player_id='1092159' first='Hadley' last='Flatch'], [player_tooltip player_id='1363492' first='Dylan' last='Radziukinas'], Mallory Carter, Kalynn Nickell, and [player_tooltip player_id='1261816' first='Avery' last='Johnson'] were the backbone of last year's squad, and having all of them back gives Park City stability, experience, and an immediate edge in the region.

They'll also benefit from an infusion of new talent. [player_tooltip player_id='1239831' first='Teagan' last='Fauvell'], [player_tooltip player_id='1243012' first='Valeria' last='Gonsalez Rocha'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1239825' first='Khloe' last='Dewitt'] add depth and versatility, giving the Miners more options and allowing them to expand their rotation. If the returning core builds on last season and the newcomers can contribute early, Park City has a legitimate chance to elevate its standing and close the gap in the region.

East

Record: 5-18. 5th in Region 6 - 5A

[player_tooltip player_id='812048' first='Aundrea' last='Dennett'] and [player_tooltip player_id='984978' first='Jaylah' last='Dulin'] were the engines that kept East moving last season, leading the team on both the scoring front and the defensive end. Having both of them return gives East a major advantage — they were the core of this team, and their experience will anchor everything East does this year. Dropping down from 5A should also work in their favor, as the higher level of competition they've already faced will help them stay sharp and competitive in their new region.

Expect additional support to come from players like [player_tooltip player_id='829490' first='Sito' last='Tausinga'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1239820' first='Seine' last='HieHiapo'], who should help fill the scoring gaps and bring more balance to the lineup. With their returning stars and emerging contributors, East is positioned to stay strong and contend immediately.

Highland

Record: 0-23. 7th in Region 6 - 5A

[player_tooltip player_id='1325456' first='Vada' last='Foster'] will have to step into a major leadership role if Highland hopes to break through for its first wins this season. As a freshman, she was the only underclassman among the team's top three scorers, proving early that she could compete and produce. With a litany of players transferring to programs with stronger records, Highland will be counting heavily on her development. They'll also need [player_tooltip player_id='796798' first='Devree' last='Bell'] — coming off an impressive soccer season — to transition smoothly and provide support alongside Vada. Together, they'll be key in determining whether Highland can turn the corner this year.

Judge Memorial

Record: 14-13. 1st in Region 14 - 3A

If there's a 3A program with the potential to shake up this new 4A region, it's Judge Memorial — and a big reason for that is [player_tooltip player_id='997502' first='Munah' last='Doe']. With a strong core returning and noticeable improvement over the summer, Judge comes in with momentum, and Munah sits at the center of it.

Munah plays with a smooth, composed style that immediately stands out. She's patient but dangerous, able to attack downhill with purpose, create opportunities off the dribble, and use her size to defend multiple positions. Her versatility makes her a matchup problem, and her ability to control tempo gives Judge a stabilizing presence on the floor.

Behind her, [player_tooltip player_id='866696' first='Makena' last='Gardner'] provides additional scoring and reliability, forming a balanced one-two punch. With [player_tooltip player_id='879698' first='Lyvia' last='Candilora'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1092166' first='Maddie' last='Daw'] stepping in as supporting contributors who can knock down shots, defend, and keep the ball moving, Judge Memorial has the pieces to surprise teams in this region. If Munah continues on her current trajectory, this group could be far more competitive than some expect.

Juan Diego

Record: 10-15. 3rd in Region 14 - 3A

Delving into Juan Diego's previous scores and roster makes it surprising that [player_tooltip player_id='1358007' first='Ayen' last='Kuath'] wasn't already on the radar. Standing at 6'2", she led the team across nearly every statistical category last season and should be the clear focal point again this year. Coming straight off a full volleyball season, Ayen brings athleticism, timing, and floor mobility that translate extremely well to basketball. She'll be the centerpiece for Juan Diego as they transition into 4A, and her presence alone gives them a competitive edge.

Supporting her is a group that has also taken noticeable steps forward. [player_tooltip player_id='1210411' first='Niella' last='Sebit'] and [player_tooltip player_id='796810' first='Kaitlin' last='Hulverson'] put together solid summers and look ready to increase their production. With Ayen leading and those two providing needed depth and scoring, Juan Diego — along with Judge Memorial — is one of the 3A programs most capable of making real noise in 4A this season.
