<p>Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at the Metro League, which is one of the top conferences in the St Louis area. The league features outstanding talent and outstanding teams.</p>

<p>Principia has made back to back Final Four appearances. MICDS earned a Final Four berth in the Class 4 state tournament. John Burroughs has enjoyed a nice run of success in the past five years, including a pair of state championships. Westminster won a district championship a year ago while Whitfield is up and coming with a talented group of incoming freshmen.</p>

<p>THE STARTING FIVE</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='750683' first='Jordyn' last='Haywood'] (MICDS): A 6'1" 2028 guard who is ranked among the best in the country in the sophomore class. She had a big summer playing up at the 17U level with the [program_tooltip program_id='712694' first='Missouri' last='Phenom'] EYBL squad and with USA Basketball in international competition. She is a three-level scorer who can also impact the game on the defensive end. As a freshman, she averaged 21.9 points</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='351820' first='Moriyah' last='Douglass'] (John Burroughs): A 6'4" 2026 forward who returns for her fourth year of starting duty for the Bombers. With her height and wingspan, she is able to impact play at both ends of the court. She is effective in the post and she can also operate on the perimeter on offense. As a junior, she averaged 18 points and nine rebounds a game while blocking 43 shots. She has given a commitment to Texas Tech.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='791650' first='Dasia' last='Scott'] (Principia): A 6'2" 2027 forward who has been the leader in the resurgence of Principia as a girls basketball power in the state. She has led the Panthers to back-to-back appearances in the state championship game. Her goal is to take them that final step to win a state championship. As a sophomore, she averaged 17 points and 11 rebounds a game while blocking 60 shots. She holds several scholarship offers from Division I programs around the country.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='609778' first='Sydney' last='Pfister'] (Lutheran South): A 5'9" 2026 guard who returns after leading the Lancers to a 15-9 record. She is a very athletic guard who can score, set up her teammates with her playmaking while also defending very well. She can really stuff the stat sheet with her all around talent. As a junior, she averaged 13.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 4.6 steals a game. She has given a commitment to Cornell College.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='897772' first='Loganne' last='Love'] (Principia): A 5'5" 2028 point guard who had an immediate impact as a freshman as she took over the as the floor leader for the Panthers. She has good speed and quickness to play at a fast tempo and defend well on the full court press. She is also an excellent rebounder for a guard of her size. As a freshman, she averaged 10.7 points, 6.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 3.5 steals a game.</p>

<p>Outlook: It should be a competitive race this season, but I will pick Principia as the favorite to win the league again with its overall talent and depth on the roster. MICDS should take another big step with much of their young nucleus a year older. I'm looking forward to seeing what Whitfield will do with its talented group of freshmen.</p>
