Tomorrow, we will do our final rankings update, which will serve as the watch list for the incoming freshman class entering their first season of high school basketball. Today, we will finish up the rankings content for the rising sophomore class by highlighting some stock risers in the 2028 class, along with a handful of new additions in a class that went from 50 ranked players to 100.

The River Falls guard missed her first high school basketball season due to injury. However, she is a player who can help elevate the Wildcats once her season gets underway next week. Englebert is a skilled ball handler who can create space with the ball in her hands and has the confidence to make things happen off the dribble. She will have her growing pains, as anyone does, but the talent is there to help her make things happen for herself and others.

Freedom is a team loaded with upperclassmen who all played a significant role for the Irish last winter. However, Calhoon carved out a role for herself this past season and was a player who made things happen off the dribble. She is a fearless player who gets into the paint and plays through traffic. She isn't afraid of contact and will find ways to get to the free-throw line over the course of a season. I'm eager to see what she can do with more responsibility.

[player_tooltip player_id='992514' first='Siena' last='Rabach']

The Edgewood wing didn't play much last season due to the talent the Crusaders had around last winter. However, because of the graduations last spring, Rabach could have an opportunity to step into a role this season and make an impact for a storied program. She is a versatile player who can knock down shots and use her physicality around the basket. I'm not sure what her role will look like this winter, but she is a player who can take a step forward this season.

I have been a massive fan of Johnson's since I first watched her play before her first season of high school basketball. She has a high ceiling on the defensive side of the ball and uses her motor to make effort plays defensively. She has also become a more confident offensive player who looks to score when she gets the opportunity, which will help her in the long run. I love her energy whenever she steps on the floor.
