The Hurricanes are loaded with young talent, especially in the sophomore class. Coming off a 20-10 Elite Eight season, Cartersville's 2028 class features [player_tooltip player_id='968107' first='Zoe' last='McCurry'] (7.6 ppg), Bayley Stanley (4.6 ppg), Trinity Montgomery (4.3 ppg), Pamela Morris (3.9 ppg) and [player_tooltip player_id='1275537' first='Rakhia' last='Pace'] (2.7 ppg) among others. [player_tooltip player_id='476479' first='Kaytlin' last='Arnold'] sets the tone with her sparkplug play, the hustler averaging 11.8 points per game as a junior.
[player_tooltip player_id='902935' first='Bre'yona' last='Hill'] is one of the state's better post players, a physical presence that is surprisingly nimble on her feet. The Gators look to improve on a 25-5 Elite Eight season. Hill will be a force inside while [player_tooltip player_id='1258307' first='Bailey' last='Denton'] is an aggressive guard who shoots from deep and isn't afraid to attack downhill. Larissa Revis plays extremely hard with her hustle as an undersized guard while Lydia Munford figures to be a reliable scoring option in Region 1.

The transfer portal hurt the Titans this offseason coming off a successful 21-10 Elite Eight finish. Belmont Abbey-commit [player_tooltip player_id='1258616' first='Kelly' last='Reynolds'] (8.6 ppg, 3.7 rpg) anchors Northview with her toughness and versatility, a stretch forward who is comfortable attacking from the wing. [player_tooltip player_id='899844' first='Tamariana' last='Bivins'] led the team in scoring last season, totaling 10.8 points, 3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 3 steals. The veteran group also features seniors [player_tooltip player_id='1258618' first='Erin' last='Hobbs'] (4.3 ppg) and [player_tooltip player_id='957856' first='Harmonee' last='Jackson'] (3.6 ppg). 6-foot junior Camron Baker is a burgeoning basketball prospect but her feature lies on the field as she is a Stetson lacrosse commit. The Titans will jockey for a top four seed out of Region 5 competing with Marist, Southwest DeKalb and St. Pius X.

The Tigers were upset in the First Round of the state playoffs by Pace Academy, a sour end to a 21-7 campaign. Harris County graduates their leading scorer but returns options 2-5. [player_tooltip player_id='1249498' first='Allana' last='Coulter'] leads with her toughness from 15-feet and in, averaging 9.3 points and 9.3 rebounds while drawing D-III recruiting attention. Madalynn Cauley, [player_tooltip player_id='1249495' first='Megan' last='Huling'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1249497' first='Kennedy' last='Muff'] will all play key roles as the Tigers looks to topple Starr's Mill for the Region 3 crown.
