There are not many in the state not familiar with the name or the game. Alexander is a top performer and prospect in the state for so many reasons. She is a long guard, with next-level size. She can play inside or outside and do each with the same level of lethality. She is just dangerous. If her jumper is not falling, good luck stopping her on the offensive boards. She is also a special shot blocker and intimidator. She has started the season on fire and easing back into playoff form in each game.

Tyson is a fun player to watch because you can see the game developing. Also, she has the IQ to understand that stopping to knock down the mid-range shot is okay in 2025. She is bright young talent with a strong fundamental skill set and the ability to knock down shots and does it with upper class form. She is feisty on defense and has the size to intimidate in one on one match ups. Tyson is a new face and name to watch out for in the state.

Abney is an aggressive talent that is perhaps overlooked when the Arcadia conversation comes up. She has been a starter for three years and is one player that always seems to make the timely plays. She will always get you 10 points and 7 rebounds, but her value is in her defense and energy. She is a relentless defender and agitator and that is one of Arcadia's known strengths. Without Abney that pressure is not as intense. Keep an eye on Abney because this senior season could be the one for next level coaches to take notice of her value at a next level program.

I wrote about Ware in early October and heading into December she has already proved that her game has evolved. Over the past couple weeks she has stepped in to assume ball-handling duties and handled the task with grace. Ware is a methodical player that is comfortable when the game is played at her pace. Ware is not going to let you speed her up, and teams that try to match the high speed game of Captain Shreve have not been able to frustrate Ware. She is one reason Captain Shreve is considered one of the top teams in the state, and she looks like she gets more comfortable in every game.

Greer is on the verge of a breakout season, and her impact shows up in the finer details of her game. She is a rim-running, rebounding post who puts in consistent work in the paint. Her length and developing frame allow her to control the lane with confidence, and she continues to show steady growth year after year. Expected to play a major role on a team favored to win state, Greer's size, athleticism, and footwork paired with a strong basketball mentality make her one to watch closely this season.
