put on a show at the JSE Showcase and reminded everybody why she is one of the most dangerous guards in Louisiana’s 2027 class. In a hard-fought, close win, the 5’10” combo guard was a difference-maker all night long, leading her team with 28 points and delivering in big moments.
Alexander is the type of big guard who can do it all, and she showed the full package in West Monroe. She scored with confidence, played with poise and attacked the game with the kind of presence that instantly stands out. Whether she was creating off the bounce, getting downhill, knocking down shots or making plays in space, she kept constant pressure on the defense.
What makes DeAsia so dangerous is her versatility. She has the size to create matchup problems, the skill to score in multiple ways and the all-around game to impact every possession. She can handle it, score it and make winning plays when the moment gets big. In a showcase filled with talent, she proved she can rise above the noise and take over.
Her 28-point performance was not just about numbers—it was about control, confidence and production when her team needed it most. She stepped up in a close game and played like a true go-to option.

There are not many in the state not familiar with the name or the game. Alexander is a top performer and prospect in the state for so many reasons. She is a long guard, with next-level size. She can play inside or outside and do each with the same level of lethality. She is just dangerous. If her jumper is not falling, good luck stopping her on the offensive boards. She is also a special shot blocker and intimidator. She has started the season on fire and easing back into playoff form in each game.

Deasia Alexander is a phenomenal scoring guard who possesses the remarkable ability to score at will from 3. Her effortless range and consistent accuracy make her a constant threat from beyond the arc, capable of igniting her team’s offense at any moment. She can create her own shot from deep with ease, forcing defenders to extend far beyond the perimeter, which in turn opens up driving lanes and other offensive opportunities.

Really solid all-around game. Long arms, multi-faceted player that is going to fit in any situation. Playing alongside Dupree lets her be a disrupter on the perimeter.
