Here is a look at some of the standout guards at the Cardinals Ritter Jamboree.

[player_tooltip player_id='970764' first='Nyla' last='Scales'] (Cardinal Ritter): There were many talented guards playing at the jamboree, but the 5'7" 2027 Scales was the most impressive one I watched during the evening. She displayed a smooth looking perimeter stroke that was pure butter. She was knocking down 3-pointers off the catch and coming off screens. She was also creating her own shot with a variety of escape moves off the bounce. She finishes well with a nice touch when she gets into the lane. The game has slowed down her a great deal, which has helped her continue to ascend towards that elite level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039529' first='Jamiah' last='Herring-Green'] (Hazelwood West): A 5'10" 2028 guard who was one of the top offensive players in the jamboree, which is no surprise as she averaged 24 points a game as a freshman. She displayed her many ways that she can get a bucket. She was driving it and drawing contact to get to the free throw line. She was getting offensive rebounds and putbacks. She also hit jumpers from the mid-range and from beyond the 3-point line.

[player_tooltip player_id='493372' first='Alanah' last='Howard'] (Cardinal Ritter): A 5'6" 2026 point guard who displayed her excellent leadership as a floor general at both ends of the court. Her dribble penetration is excellent and she was finding open teammates off the drive. She plays very good tone-setting defense at the top as she applied constant pressure on ball handlers.

[player_tooltip player_id='905177' first='Kate' last='Deck'] (Jackson): A 5'8" 2028 guard who has the ability to get buckets as well as the ability to create them off the dribble. Her first basket against Cardinal Ritter was an impressive turnaround jumper along the baseline under heavy defensive pressure. She was handling the ball and and doing a good job of looking upcourt for teammates for quick scoring opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039457' first='Trinity' last='Jackson'] (Cardinal Ritter): A 2028 point guard who displayed her excellent speed and quickness on the offensive end. She creates her offense very well off the dribble. She also uses good shot fakes to get herself open to swish her 3-pointers. She was also very active on Ritter's tenacious half-court defense. She was able to pick a few pockets in the open court.

[player_tooltip player_id='1054097' first='Daylin' last='Douglas'] (John Burroughs): A talented 5'10" 2029 guard who enjoyed some very good moments during the evening. She had some nice attacks off the dribble and she finished well with either hand in the lane. She has good positional height and she has good length as well. She will be an immediate impact player for the Bombers.

[player_tooltip player_id='884754' first='Addison' last='Henderson'] (Jackson): A 5'8" 2028 guard who played with her usual high motor. She plays well without the ball as she reads defenses and makes good cuts, which leads to layups. She was very good at lifting a defender with the shot fake to set up her drive into the lane. She is a very unselfish player who makes the extra pass to an open teammate, even when she is one the move.

ZayNiyah Jackson (Hazelwood West): A 5'5" 2028 guard who has good strength and who plays with good physicality when she went on the attack. She was very effective when she got downhill on the dribble. She had one impressive play when she split a double team in the open court with sheer strength and got into the lane and scored on a nice floater. She is also a good on-ball defender who moves her feet well. She also rebounds well for her height.

[player_tooltip player_id='971998' first='Sydney' last='Lanton'] (John Burroughs): A 5'8" 2027 guard who is a high-energy player at both ends of the court. She can take the ball at the point and break down defenders on straight line drives. She is also an excellent cutter, who score multiple buckets off her movement. She draws fouls and she made her free throws. She is also a very active defender who hawks the ball very well.

Aniya Davis (Hazelwood West): A 2027 guard who impressed me with how hard she plays at both ends. Her defense on the perimeter was tenacious and she also did a nice job of digging into the low post to strip the ball away from opposing bigs. She rebounds well from the guard position. She also made a nice runner in traffic against the contact.
