We had the opportunity to see some very good up and coming talent in the Class of 2030. Many of them were playing up in the 15U Division and a few were playing two years up at 16U. Here is a look at some 2030 guards from Missouri who caught our eye.

McKinley Anderson (Phenom 15U): A talented 5'3 point guard who plays the position to a tee at both ends of the court. She distributes the ball very well and she can also create a bucket for herself. She uses her quickness to touch the paint on dribble penetration and she can hit perimeter jumpers. She can also defend with tenacity as she picked a few pockets which led to transition layups. She will attend MICDS.

[player_tooltip player_id='932092' first='Markie' last='Hirsch'] (TLC): A 5'8" point guard from Nixa who is a talented offensive player who has a little swag in her game. She handles the ball with a bundle of confidence and she is good creating her own offense. She was hitting step-back 3-pointers and also pulling up on the break to knock down long distance jumpers. She also finds teammates with her passing with both hands.

Skylar Thomas (Phenom 15U Stovall): A talented young point guard with good quickness and a first step that will beat just about any defender off the dribble. She is good in iso situations when she can attack and get downhill. I was very impressed with her ability to apply constant on-ball pressure defense. She refuses to let herself be screened as she was always fighting over the top. That was very impressive. She will attend MICDS next year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1243603' first='Lila' last='Stewart'] (TLC): A talented young guard who is home schooled and is already making an impact. She can score from three levels, but she can really light it up from 3-point range. She knocked down a few shots from well beyond the 3-point line as she displayed her excellent range. She can also attack close outs and beat defenders with a quick first step on the drive.

Zoey Williams (Rise & Reign): A 5'6 guard who has good athleticism and good handles, which enable her to create her own offense off the dribble. She can use her burst on the straight line drive or she can change speeds and directions to keep defenders off balance. She also has a quick jump around the basket to corral rebounds over taller players.

Savannah Long (Phenom 15U Stovall): A 5'8" guard who has good length and is comfortable playing the point or off the ball as an offensive threat. She knocked down a couple of nice 3-pointers against the zone defense. She can also cover ground on the drive with her long stride. She will attend Cardinal Ritter next year.

Laila Hayes (Rise & Reign): A 5'3" lefty point guard who has a smooth shooting stroke from long distance. In the game I watched, she shot the opposing team out of a zone defense when she hit consecutive 3-pointers from the right corner. Her delivery was very smooth. She is also a solid ball handler who works against pressure well with her strength and her ability to stay low on the dribble.
