Underdog Teams – Class 1A

With [player_tooltip player_id='1192035' first='Grace' last='DeHoog'], a Eastern Washington commit, they can matchup well against anyone. [player_tooltip player_id='1048793' first='Payton' last='Bartl'] and Chayleigh Davis are some other players to keep an eye on for the Pioneers as well. Plus, playing in the tough NWC does help when it comes to important games deep in the season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>Zillah:</strong></em> Record Last Year: 23-5 - Lost in Quarterfinals</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Zillah will be bringing back a lot of the core from last years team. That will include [player_tooltip player_id='751223' first='Makenna' last='Klitzke'], who dominated at the state tournament last year, showing tremendous growth throughout the year. She is a 3 level scorer who has amazing footwork in the paint, being able to get open smoothly. Callie Strong and [player_tooltip player_id='1151409' first='Bella' last='Valadez'] are some other players to keep an eye on as supporting members of the team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em><strong>Seton Catholic:</strong></em> Record Last Year: 19-8 - Lost in Quarterfinals</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Seton Catholic is a team that also returns a good amount of key players but they are a team who plays team-first basketball and are a team who always shares the rock and makes the extra pass. [player_tooltip player_id='1226945' first='Madison' last='Lee'], Naomi Jackson, and [player_tooltip player_id='1226953' first='Remy' last='Jenniges'] are some current seniors to keep an eye on for this squad. They will be bringing back the majority of their team with only 3 players graduating last season. They play as a team and know how to fight to win close, tough games. They are filled with grit and relentless energy on the court, they should compete all season long.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
