There are a few players that have made some significant improvements in their game and have been trending upward as the regular season is on the horizon. Let's take a look at who those players are in each class.

2026

[player_tooltip player_id='796796' first='Tabitha' last='Clark'], Pleasant Grove

Although Clark is already committed and signed to play at UVU, she is still playing at a high level and has not let up in any way. Clark is picking off every player ranked ahead of her, and she will have a matchup against the #1 player in the state. Clark seems to have the versatility that nobody else in the class has. Could this mean she is the new #1? Maybe. Could this mean she is going to move up the rankings again? Probably. Clark is putting together a flawless pre-season.

[player_tooltip player_id='790536' first='Kya' last='Newton'], Olympus

Newton is another player who has committed to play at the next level, and Newton will be playing soccer at Utah State. And you would not know it based on how good a basketball player she is. Newton is averaging 18 points a game, and she is keeping Olumpus in many games as her scoring has been consistent and she has been tough to slow down. You could see her rise in the rankings as she continues to trend.

2027

[player_tooltip player_id='1119391' first='Alexa' last='Vance'], Salem Hills

Alexa has 7 double-doubles this season, and there are no signs of her letting up. She is playing hard and showcasing a strong motor. Vance has a chance to turn some heads and play at the next level. We are seeing a new side of her defensively as she racks up steals, tips, and touches. She is a player who could make some moves up the rankings as she continues to trend.

[player_tooltip player_id='935878' first='Daisy' last='Thayne'], Cedar Valley

It is hard to stand out when you are on a team with a lot of talented guards, but Thayne consistently finds ways to make herself one of the best players on the floor, regardless of the opponent. Thayne has good size and strength at around 5'8 and she does some really good things out in the perimeter, shooting and putting the ball on the floor. She could be the gem in this class that might not get enough attention.

2028

[player_tooltip player_id='873330' first='Blakelie' last='Davies'], Millard

Davies is a small-school player who has been putting on a scoring clinic. She has good size, IQ, and a feel for the game that goes beyond her years. She will need to prove herself again at the club level, but she is up for the challenge, and she is a player you need to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='997500' first='Estella' last='Myers'], Skyline

Myers moves well off-ball, and if she continues to emphasize that aspect of her game, she will score more points. She will be closely guarded, but if she learns to set effective screens and roll and pop, she could unlock a new dimension to her game. She is a player on the rise.

2029

Evie Stewart, Farmington

Farmington might have a gem in Stewart. She is trending upward, and with experience and minutes this season, she could become a standout in the Class of 2029.

Mya Durant, American Fork

American Fork has overachieved this season, already losing a few of its best players to transfers. However, the new regime has found a way to get them to play hard and has implemented a new brand of basketball, making them one of the most surprising teams in the state. With that said, Durant is among those surprise players, getting good minutes and impacting the game slowly. She is a player who will be trending upward in no time.
