With the start of the 2025-26 season just a couple of weeks away, here are some of the NJ girls chasing the 2,000 career point total. 7 players joined the 2,000 point club last season and there are less than 150 players who have achieved this feat in the history of girls basketball in NJ.

Seniors

[player_tooltip player_id='601403' first='Angelica' last='Do'] - Leonia

Angelica enters her senior season with 1,411 career points. She will need a touch more than the career high 581 she scored in her junior season to eclipse 2,000 for her career. Angelica regularly stuffs the stat sheet with steals and rebounds. She had 18 double doubles as a junior and 6 triple doubles, including 5 in a row late in the season. She has scored in double figures in 76 of 78 career games. She had 20 or more in 19 and had a career high of 36 against Cliffside Park. Combine her scoring with an astonishing 603 steals in 3 seasons and you have a young lady on the cusp of a special senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='559077' first='Sidney' last='Smith'] - Roselle Park

Sidney sits at 1,329 points entering her senior season at Roselle Park. She spend her 1st two seasons at Rosell Catholic and after transferring to Roselle Park as a junior she splashed on the scene with 729 points and 74 3-pointers. A repeat performance by the Elon commit would have her eclipsing the 2,000 point mark with a little room to spare. She scored 20 points or more in every game as a junior. She had 16 games of 30 or more and 5 games of 40 or more including a career high 48 against Whippany Park last season. She also had multiple 3-pointers in 19 of 22 games last year.

[player_tooltip player_id='601339' first='Natalie' last='Sroka'] - Belvidere

Natalie enters her senior season with 1,463 career points. She put up a career high season of 539 points last year and a repeat performance would give her just enough to eclipse the 2,000 threshhold. She has scored in double figures in 73 of 78 career games. Last season she scored 20 or more 11 teams and had a season high of 28 on 3 separate occasions. She has 144 3-pointers in her first 3 years with a career high of 5 in her sophomore season against Warren Tech. She also had a career high of 37 as a freshman against Newton.

Juniors

[player_tooltip player_id='835956' first='Rhaiyna' last='Brown'] - Timothy Christian

Rhaiyna enters her junior season more than halfway to the 2,000 point mark. She sits at 1,113 after two seasons at Timothy Christian. She has 137 3-pointers in her first two seasons and has scored in double figures in 46 of 48 career games. She has scored 20 por more in 32 of 48 career games and has 10 games of 30 or more with a career high of 37 against Piscataway Magnet last season. She also has multiple 3-pointers in 39 of 48 career games with a career high of 7 against Woodbridge as a sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id='835219' first='Dani' last='Daproza'] - Leonia

Dani is well on her way to 2,000 career points as she enters her junior season. She put up 1,116 points in her 1st two seasons at Leonia. She has made 95 3-pointers in her first two seasons and has scored in double digits in 54 of 55 career games. She has 20 or more in 32 of those games. In her sophomore year she had a stretch of 13 straight games with 20 or more points. Dani had a career high of 40 in a game against Passaic Charter last season. She has also hit a career high of 4 3-pointers on 7 different occasions.

Sophomores

[player_tooltip player_id='981887' first='Giovanna' last='Burress'] - DePaul

In her freshman season, Giovanna put up 463 points. She also hit 32 3-pointers. She had 20 or more in 11 of 23 games. She had 3 games of 30 or more inlcuding a career high of 31 vs Kent Place. She also had two double doubles and led her team scoring and steals as a freshman. Giovanna racked up a multitude of D1 offers this offseason. With an equally young supporting cast, Giovanna and DePaul will be a formiddable foe for any opponent they play this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='919624' first='Nawel' last='Ibazatene Lefebvre'] - Morristown

Nawel splashed on the scene for Morristown as a freshman with 558 points. A long, athletic lefty, she scored in double figures in 26 of 29 games. She had 20 or more in 13 games and had 30 or more twice with a career high of 36 against Columbia. Nawel had two double doubles and led her team in scoring and steals for the season. She continues to collect D1 offers and played for Team France U15 last summer.
