With the start of the 2025-2026 girls basketball season right around the corner, let's take a look at the returning players who were named All-State at the end of last season and some players who could be selections come March.

[player_tooltip player_id='789189' first='Brooke' last='Stagliano'] | Paul VI

The graduation of three seniors leaves more room for Brooke to fully take over and lead this team in scoring for the second consecutive season. A Second Team selection, her efforts led the Eagles to a nearly undefeated campaign and a spot in the Non-Public A state final. Expect a barrage of high-flying 3's, a strong effort on defense and likely milestones along the way.

[player_tooltip player_id='601413' first='Jahzara' last='Green'] | Gloucester Catholic

Z continues to elevate her game as the years pass. She could very well find herself on the First Team this season, a step up from last year's selection. She led the Lady Rams to their first sectional championship in 42 years, imposing her dominance against the very best players in the state. GC heads into the season as one of the favorites not only to repeat, but to also claim the state title. The double-double machine may eclipse 2,000 career points before it's all said and done.

[player_tooltip player_id='559135' first='Stella' last='Lockhart'] | St. John Vianney

Stella's physicality and will-to-win sets the tone for the Lady Lancers who head into the season with great expectations. A force on the glass, she elevates this team's overall dominance with her positionless style of basketball. A Second Team selection last season, this senior campaign might just be her best yet!

[player_tooltip player_id='559085' first='Addison' last='Nyemchek'] | Red Bank Catholic

Widely regarded as one of the best players in the country, Addy has her eyes set on leading this fully loaded roster to a state title after falling short in March. She is dangerously versatile, with a strong inside-out game who can challenge the best players on the best teams. A strong senior season could lock her in to a First Team spot.

[player_tooltip player_id='601332' first='Annie' last='Conover'] | New Providence

Annie has put the Pioneers on her back last season and guided them to a Group 1 state chip, earning a Third Team spot in the process. She's firmed her position as one of the best two-way players in the state, able to take over long stretches of games all on her own; a one-woman wrecking crew!

[player_tooltip player_id='825463' first='Rhyan' last='Watt'] | West Orange

Rhyan's two-way guard play is ridiculously good. In many respects, she's one of the most underrated players in the state of New Jersey. She led the Mountaineers in scoring last year as a sophomore and helped them earn a Group 4 state finals appearance, earning a Third Team selection in the process. Another fiery season of basketball could see similar success and a 1,000-Point milestone.

[player_tooltip player_id='835898' first='Kirsten' last='Gibson'] | Cherry Hill West

The leading scorer on last year's state championship team, Kirsten earned herself a Third Team All-State selection with blazing 3-point shooting and strong transition offense. In what could be a rebuilding season for CHW, one thing remains: KG will be a force to be reckoned with.

[player_tooltip player_id='559076' first='Jayah' last='Curtis'] | Morris Catholic

A state champion & Third Team selection last season with the now defunct Montclair Immaculate, she showed why everyone should be paying attention to her game! One of the most dynamic guards in the state, Jayah is a knockdown 3-point shooter and an exceptional finisher through contact. Now running with the Crusaders of Morris Catholic, she's ready to serve up some high-powered offense in pursuit of another state title.

Riley O'Sullivan | Glen Ridge

Riley's breakout junior campaign led the Ridgers all the way to the Group 1 state final. Her commitment to offense and defense makes her a complete threat. She's even incorporating the 3 ball into her game now and showing confidence as an emerging stretch 4. Season averages of 16.5 PPG, 8.1 RPG, 2.0 APG & 1.5 SPG helped her earn a spot on the All-State Third Team.
