Checking in on More Players in the Class of 2029

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over the last few seasons, I've checked in on a few newcomers making an impression in the early portions of the season, and today, we are keeping up with the class of 2029. There will be players over the next three-plus seasons who find their way, even if they don't have a role to play right now, such as those playing JV basketball, who are injured, or for any other reason. That being said, let's look at some intriguing newcomers in the 2029 class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='888355' first='Alyson' last='Brechtl']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Waterford has a young core of players who have had excellent starts to their seasons, and the Wolverines actually started their three newcomers in their last few games, including Brechtl and her twin sister. Alyson is a player who can knock down shots from the perimeter and has the confidence to rise to shoot when there is a defender in her immediate vicinity. She has been an impressive player in the early portion of the season and has been a key figure for the Wolverines.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1276313' first='Allison' last='Charbonneau']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The McFarland guard has been a high-usage player in the early portion of the season. Charbonneau is a player who has done a little of everything for the Spartans. She's handled the ball under pressure, rebounded the ball well, and made plays defensively. Charbonneau has also used her athleticism to get back on the defensive end of the floor and make plays around the basket. She has shown positive flashes in her first few games.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='874408' first='Kaitlyn' last='Schuman']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Brillion guard is the younger sister of Megan, who had a standout career for the Lions and is now playing at D2 Winona State. Kaitlyn is a glue kid who can contribute to every aspect of a game and can make the players around her better. She hasn't shot the ball well in her first few high school games, but she can connect a team's offense well offensively. I also love the effort she brings defensively and her ability to make plays on the ball, forcing mistakes out of opposing guards to earn transition opportunities.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1229383' first='Natalie' last='Rudnick']</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Rudnick is a player who impressed people around the Midwest over the fall in camp season, and I had a few people talk to me about her. In her first season at Seymour, Rudnick has been their leading scorer in the first few games and has handled the offensive responsibility. I've also appreciated her ability to play through traffic and get into the middle of the paint and score from all three levels.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
