About Kaitlyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Offense: Fast-paced, love dribble drive, rebounding, driving to the hoop and shooting threes. Defense: Aggressive player who looks for steals and keeping the opposing team to a low scoring game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Tough player who continually thinks ahead to the next play. Love playing as a team to succeed.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am the President of my high school grade, active in student council, Varsity Club, and FCCLA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a leader on the basketball court, classroom, and at work. I frequently do community service by volunteering to help with kid's volleyball and basketball camps, working concessions or working ticket sales at my high school.

Schuman, for the second time this month, showed me a terrific all-around game that resulted in 13.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.2 apg, and 1.9 spg in her freshman season at Brillion. One of the more dynamic players, off the dribble, Shuman had no problem, getting to the basket and finishing around traffic or kicking it out to open shooters. The aspect of her game that was probably most impressive is her rebounding ability where she often out efforts her opponents uses great body positioning.

The Brillion native was a player who did it all at the high school level this season and helped her Lions team get the most out of what they had. Schuman is a player who can create with the ball and be the focal point of an offense at the high school level. I thought she had her moments down in Texas at the first 3SSB stop in Bryan, and I think she has plenty of room to add to what she does on both ends.
