The Seymour native has improved over the past year and found ways to be more effective each time she steps on the floor. Rudnick was an excellent perimeter defender last season and showed an edge on that side of the ball. I thought she developed her perimeter jumper and was a reliable threat from behind the arc last spring and summer. I like how much better she’s gotten over the last 12 months, and am eager to see what she looks like in this setting.

Natalie has a polished skill set, good length as a guard, and an IQ that makes her a promising next-level prospect. She was an all-around playmaker for Team 10 at the PGH Sophomore ID Camp. Natalie created a clip for the highlight reel when she froze a defender with a sharp punch step on the perimeter, then took one dribble into a silky smooth step back three from the slot. She buried another triple from the corner off the hop, scored with her left hand off two feet, and dropped in a soft floater after changing lanes with a quick crossover to blow by her defender at the top of the key. Natalie demonstrated excellent footwork after catching a pass down low, using effective pivots to create an opening, then finished the shot over a tall defender. She anticipated a miss, sprinted in to secure the offensive rebound, then kicked the ball out to the perimeter. Natalie has good instincts off the ball in the gap or in help. She was very active as a rebounder and will be a Wisconsin prospect in this class to keep your eyes on. and kicks the ball out to the perimeter.

The Seymour native is an intriguing talent who has become an intriguing defensive prospect over the last year. She plays with a chip on her shoulder defensively and is willing to bring some physicality on that end of the floor. I think there is something there for her to build on over the next few years. Her shot has also gotten smoother in the last year, and she’s looked more comfortable as a scorer.

The Seymour native has improved over the last year on both ends of the floor. Rudnick has an edge to her game and loves competing. She takes pride in what she does on the defensive end of the floor and is capable of making winning plays offensively. She isn’t afraid of playing high-pressure basketball and is willing to take shots late in the game to keep her team in games or win them. She’s a confident kid with room to grow.

The defensive prowess Rudnick brings to the floor is something you’ll notice quickly. She’s a physical player who wasn’t afraid to be physical with 18-year-olds over the high school season. The Seymour native is also a player who can attack the basket and play through contact around the rim. There is plenty of room for growth as she ages, but she plays in a desperate fashion, which will help her stand out this spring and summer.

Natalie is tough to stop in transition- she puts her versatility on display in how she easily handles the ball in traffic, dishes the rock to her teammates, and scores. Pretty spin move in the paint for two!  Plays under control! Count it for three! (Below with ball)

There is a lot to like about Natalie Rudnick Natalie Rudnick 5'9" | CG Seymour | 2029 State WI and what she brings to the hardwood. Rudnick has an experienced feel for the game for her age. She is a versatile prospect at the guard position that can play on or off of the basketball. She doesn’t necessarily need the ball in her hands for a long period of time to produce and that matters. 95% of the game is played without the ball so that she makes efficient moves when she does touch it will translate to the next level one day. Rudnick demonstrated these past few days that she is a well-rounded scorer, a better than average passer, and a respectable defender as well. As long as she stays hungry, she is sure to be a name we hear more often as time she gets into her Freshman year at Seymour High School.
