<p>Following a 6-14 season, first-year Head Coach Stevie Harrison has the Blue Tide 4-0 with wins over Tattnall County (44-39), Screven County (38-35) and Vidalia (46-27), the first two Top 10 wins. Zae Buckner scored 20 points in the win at Vidalia followed by Amya Edwards' 10.</p>

<p>The Raiders finished 11-15 last season but are already 6-1, their best win a season-opening 72-68 victory against Collins Hill. [player_tooltip player_id='1241697' first='Julianna' last='McNeely'] is a breakout star, the lefty softball standout a knockdown shooter averaging around 15 points per game. 4.3 GPA student hit five threes against Denmark for 22 points and hit three long balls en route to 18 points against Adairsville. [player_tooltip player_id='1447854' first='Lauren' last='Kent'] is a valuable stretch-forward who drains threes. Karina Barton is another dangerous bomber, part of a deep attack.</p>

<p>The Tigers are 5-0, handling their business early on. Bradwell has survived graduation and transfer well thanks to their backcourt. Janya Bush is averaging 12.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.4 steals while [player_tooltip player_id='476476' first='Jamia' last='Ousley'] has pitched in 11.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 4 steals. In the frontcourt, [player_tooltip player_id='1264427' first='Mikayla' last='Oliveira'] (10.4 ppg, 7.6 rpg) and [player_tooltip player_id='1264352' first='Destini' last='McLemore'] (9.8 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 3.4 apg, 3.2 spg, 1.2 bpg) have been impactful.</p>

<p>Already 4-0 after a 6-19 season a year ago, a potent freshman class has blended in nicely to help the Mountaineers to early season success. [player_tooltip player_id='1221860' first='Naomi' last='Hulett'] paces the 2029 class alongside [player_tooltip player_id='1280111' first='Erin' last='Langham'] and Bailey Brown. Hulett is a lethal scorer, a quick guard who can shoot the ball exceptionally well from deep. Senior Ansley Buckner dumped in 25 points in a win over Gordon Lee.</p>

<p>Ridgeland opens the season 4-0 after a 5-21 mark last season. The tandem of Jamiah Lewis and freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1230962' first='Jordyn' last='Thomas'] has been as electric as expected. Lewis through three games has averaged 22.7 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals and 2.3 blocks while Thomas has contributed 15.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 8 steals, adding an integral second option for the Panthers.</p>
