The classic was full of amazing players and there were just too many to put into one article, so we have decided to add some more players and highlight their stellar performances. Gladney is another young player on the Haughton roster that looks to have a bright basketball future. Earning minutes as an underclassman can be tough, but Gladney looked comfortable in the game and worked well in the offense. She is another young player with an aggressive mindset and an athletic basketball frame built for competition. Her development will be fun to watch because she already checks a lot of boxes for Varsity competition and beyond.     Jayla Taylor is a skilled post player with a soft touch around the rim. Works hard on both sides of the ball and makes Neville and tough team in half court sets because she can score when she wants. She wants the physical contact of the game and was a definite X factor vs one of the top 2026s in the state.     Jones was the difference maker in the game vs Haughton by just bringing energy on both sides of the ball. She is a tenacious on ball defender and trolls the court looking for opportunities to compete. Every loose ball, 50/50 ball and rebound was hers for the day. She score 19 and was named player of the game for her continuous effort. Her game is intense and she will be a great pickup for any college coach. Even with limited range of motion from a knee brace she was in the game working to make things happen. Learning to shoot the ball is something that requires countless reps, and knocking down shots with a brace has to be a serious undertaking. Keep an eye on her this season because she will surely grow her name this season.     Williams is an emerging post presence and her in game influence is another reason for Neville and their amazing season start. She is a traditional big with great size and basketball instincts. Her ability to rebound, intimidate and finish at the rim and essential for Neville defensively when competing against teams that may have more size.
