The first day of this year's She Got Next Christmas Classic saw 3A West-Oak draw an Upstate Home School team that was anything but easy to beat. The Warriors outlasted the Falcons by a final score of 47-40 in large part thanks to the 13 points tallied by West-Oak's standout senior. Given the 5-foot-10 stature Burgess presents, one may be quick to assume that she is a frontcourt specialist. Burgess has the long-range shooting attributes of a two guard and can also play at the point. A 3-point shot is part of her overall offensive arsenal and her length compliments her height on both ends of the floor.

An interior attack was the centerpiece of 5A Division 2 T.L. Hanna's efforts against another team from the same classification in Irmo. Oliver concluded her afternoon with 24 points to pace her Yellow Jackets against Irmo's. Offensively, Oliver maintains a high level of activity even away from the ball. Her rebounding capabilities can greatly limit an opposing team's second-chance point opportunities. Oliver will play with her back to the basket in close proximity to the rim and her impressive low post moves often lead to strong finishes in the interior. Oliver has worn the Carolina Hawks uniform during the spring and summer months of AAU.

Already the all-time leading scorer in the history of the St. Joseph's Catholic program, Helmer added 19 points to her career total when her 3A Knights were locked in a hard-fought contest against 4A Daniel. Helmer did the bulk of her damage in the second half. St. Joseph's Catholic trailed the Lions by 14 at the half before she spearheaded a ferocious comeback that had her team within striking distance of Daniel. When the season concludes for the Knights, Helmer will put all of her athletic focus towards volleyball as she is a commit to Furman. She is one of two seniors – and one of two team captains on this season's Knights team.

Timberland was the only 2A team on hand for this year's She Got Next Christmas Classic. The Wolves, who entered Saturday's play with an 8-3 record may have suffered defeat at the hands of 5A Division 1 J.L. Mann but Prioleau did everything she could for her team with 14 points. Early on, Prioleau made her presence known by getting out in transition and delivering strong finishes at the basket. As the contest wore on, she managed to connect on running floaters and also drained the lone 3-pointer of the game for the Wolves. Prioleau is one of five seniors on this year's Timberland squad.

Amerson's Upstate Home School Falcons team proved it was ready for the tough test posed by 3A West-Oak on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons may have been on the wrong end of a close 47-40 defeat to the Warriors but nine points courtesy of Amerson were part of ensuring it would be a hard-fought contest. Amerson was particularly accurate with her 3-point shot as the entirety of her scoring production was from distance. Three of the six 3-pointers that the Falcons were true on in Saturday's matchup departed from Amerson's hands. Amerson is one of two juniors listed on the Falcons' roster.
