<p>Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at some of the standout players from the Verona Tournament. These are a group of very talented small-school players from the SWMO area who operate under the radar. Many of these players are New Names that we are introducing you to. Diamond defeated Southwest for the championship while Everton defeated host Verona in the third place game.</p>

<p>Jaretsi Quintanilla (Southwest): A 6'1" 2026 forward who is having a terrific career at Southwest as she is right at the 1,500-point mark in her career with most of the season to play. She was the MVP of the tournament after leading her team to a second-place finish. She is a force in the low post area with her skilled post moves and soft touch around the basket. A great combination of strength and finesse. She also stepped out and hit a 3-pointer. In addition to her 26 points in the championship game, she also blocked multiple shots.</p>

<p>Olivia Sartin (Everton): A 5'8" 2026 forward who earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team after leading Everton to a third-place finish. She put on a show in the third-place game with a game-high 31 points. She was very good around the basket as she scored on a variety of moves in the post as well as multiple offensive rebounds and putbacks. She can also handle the when needed as she was capable of driving the ball. She also hit a big 3-pointer in the second half on a close game in the win over Verona.</p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='885706' first='Dawson' last='Housh'] (Diamond): A 2028 point guard who scored a team-high 17 points in the championship game. She really shot the ball well from 3-point range while also distributing the basketball. She also had a big impact on the game on defense with six steals. She used her speed and good reactions to be very disruptive.</p>

<p>Jaicee Carrasquilla (Verona-pictured): A 5'4" 2026 point guard who has been a standout at Verona for the past four seasons. She has the excellent combination of being a playmaker and distributor while also being a primary scorer. She scored 25 points in the third-place game against Exeter while also dropping a number of nifty dimes. She finds gaps in the defense to score on runners in the lane plus she knocked down multiple 3-pointers.</p>

<p>Lily Hoyer (Diamond): A 5'9" 2028 forward who made the All-Tournament Team after helping her team win the championship. She is a good athlete with a versatile skill set. Her overall floor game was impressive. In addition to scoring 11 points, she could also rebound, block shots and get steals and deflections. She also makes good hustle plays like sprinting the court to get a offensive putback in the transition game. She can also handle the ball when needed. </p>

<p>Aspen Daniel (Diamond): A 2026 point guard who scored nine points in the championship game against Southwest. She hit multiple 3-pointers, including a big one in the fourth quarter. She has excellent speed and playmaking ability as a ball handler and passer. She also hit a nice pull up jumper in the lane. She also had a big steal and a diving save from out of bounds to keep the ball alive, which led to a transition layup.</p>

<p>Laura McCray (Everton): A 2027 guard who scored 24 points in the victory over Exeter in the third-place game. She did a nice job on the attack as she scored on numerous drives to the basket. She also hit a pair of 3-pointers in the second half. She also kept the ball moving with her passing ability.</p>

<p>Addy Payne (Southwest): A 5'4" point guard who is a good 3-point shooter and can play a solid all-around floor game. She scored 12 points in the championship game against Diamond, including a pair of Corner 3-pointers. Her ball handling is solid and I also liked how she passed the ball. She kept it moving well on the perimeter and she did a great job of feeding it inside to their standout post player Jaretsi Quintanilla.</p>

<p>Ari Silva-ogando (Diamond): A 5'7" 2028 forward who scored 10 points in the championship game against Southwest. She is strong and she has good athleticism, which enables her to battle inside against taller players. She had some nice finishes off the glass and she also rebounded the ball and threw a good outlet pass which led to a transition layup.</p>
