<p>These two programs meet for the first time since 2018 to open the season. GCIT finished with a 16-10 record last year and was a first-round exit in the South Jersey Group 4 playoffs. The Cheetahs are led by junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1265715' first='Averie' last='Clement'], who averaged nearly 13 points per contest last winter. Glassboro finished just below .500 with a 12-14 record last year, but is expected to be one of the top contenders in Group 1. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='831439' first='Kezia' last='Brackett'] is averaging 16.5 points per game through her first two seasons and will be key to the Bulldogs' success.</p>

<p><strong>Tuesday, December 16:</strong></p>

<p><strong><em>Pennsville @ Wildwood, 4 PM.</em></strong></p>

<p>This game will officially start a new era at Wildwood, the first without 2,000-point scorer and West Chester freshman Macie McCracken. [player_tooltip player_id='651514' first='Rebecca' last='Benichou'] and [player_tooltip player_id='601414' first='Angela' last='Wilber'] will lead the way for the Warriors against Pennsville, a team that returns much of its nucleus from last year. The Eagles will be led by senior duo [player_tooltip player_id='601419' first='Marley' last='Wood'] and [player_tooltip player_id='601420' first='Taylor' last='Bass'], who have combined for 1,954 career points. Both of these teams are expected to be top Group 1 contenders, so it'll be interesting to see how this one plays out.</p>

<p>One of the premier programs in the Pennsylvania Catholic League (PCL) will take a trip across the bridge for a non-league showdown with Gloucester Catholic. Led by senior power forward [player_tooltip player_id='601413' first='Jahzara' last='Green'], the Rams will look to start their SJ N-PA title defense in the win column.</p>

<p>Washington Township has gotten the best of Kingsway as of late, outlasting its divisional rival in their last three meetings over the last two seasons. Expect sophomore Kate D'Ottaviano to play a major offensive role as she averaged nearly nine points per game in her rookie season.</p>

<p>Haddon Township has a challenging schedule, and Camden Catholic is just one of the many high-level teams the Hawks will face this winter. The defending South Jersey Group 1 champs are led by junior Abby Wiedeman and senior [player_tooltip player_id='600906' first='Kiersten' last='Callahan']. Expect this to be a competitive contest.</p>
