Underclassmen hoopers from ELV8 Showcase

Individual skills were highlighted at the ELV8 Showcase as the athletes went through an hour Skills Session before they played 2 Showcase games. She displayed excellent ball handling ability in the skills session along with a nice shooting touch. She has definitely put a lot of work into her game and she was not intimidated by the elite competition that attended. She was really good in transition both offensively and defensively and she was comfortable in half court sets and screen and rolls. Defensively she showed that she can guard multiple positions and defend elite guards. She plays Volleyball, Flag Football, and Basketball. At the Showcase, her athletic ability was on display being able to run the floor and defend at a very high level. She is skilled offensively both as a shooter and ball handler, and she is solid on her drives to the basket. Her biggest asset is that she is an elite competitor. She is tall for a 2031, and she can defend several positions because of her length and agility. She showed that she can hold her own against some of the best players in the state of Arizona. She is a good shooter from all 3 levels, but she is very skilled in the paint for a young player. She is a good rebounder and she can get up and down the floor in transition. She is an experienced player that has played a lot of basketball and she was comfortable on the big stage. Jaylah is a terrific ball handler and passer. She makes good decisions with the basketball and she gets the ball to her teammates on time. She can shoot well for a young player and she is good on the drive and finish. She is a solid defender that can guard elite level players. Jaylah is a highly motivated player that will continue to grow and develop her game. She has excellent size for her age and she has very good mobility and agility for a big player. She did very well in the Skills Session and she showed the ability to handle the ball well which is tough for bigger players her age. She is a very good defender that can defend multiple positions, and she is a good rebounder. She is a high IQ player that understands her role and plays it very well. She is a good shooter especially at the mid range level and she can score in the paint.
