Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, so has the first round of this year's holiday tournaments. I spent both Friday and Saturday at Hamline University's Hutton Arena, taking in the annual Pat Patterson Tournament. This year's event featured plenty of highly competitive games, as well as a few show-stopping finishes.

Along with the holiday basketball, Thanksgiving is also a great time to highlight some seniors who have not yet made the decision on where they will play in college. We saw plenty of players who fit the bill over the weekend and will be highlighting them in two parts. That being said, here are a handful of unsigned upperclassmen who stood out at the Pat Patterson Tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='1194442' first='Audrey' last='Brown'] – 2026 Guard, Waconia

The dynamic senior guard had a monster performance on Friday afternoon at the Pat Patterson tournament. Brown led the Wildcats in their late game-surge against St. Michael-Albertville, dropping 19 points, with 17 of them coming in the second half and overtime. The 5'7 guard was aggressive in her scoring attempts, attacking the basket with a head full of steam and finishing through contact. Audrey's quickness allows her to get past defenders with ease, and she has the verticality to elevate over defenders on her jumpshot. On the defensive end Brown was a vocal communicator and relentless on the boards, providing the spark the Wildcats needed to mount a comeback.

[player_tooltip player_id='1460779' first='Onyx' last='Idoko'] – 2026 Center, DeLaSalle

The DeLaSalle senior gave two impressive performances over the weekend, contributing 12 points against Minnehaha Academy on Friday and 16 in Saturday's matchup against Orono. Idoko collected most of her points around the rim, where she used her strength and footwork in the paint to get around defenders and finish through contact. She showed some range on her shot, as well, extending out and hitting shots from the midrange. In addition to her scoring, the 6'0 center brought physicality on the defensive end, and was aggressive on the boards. A raw talent with a high degree of athleticism, Onyx moves well, is light on her feet, and has pure strength that is seldom outmatched.

[player_tooltip player_id='478365' first='Audrey' last='Schmidtke'] – 2026 Guard, Lakeville South

Schmidtke (pictured above) brought a spark for Lakeville South at Hamline on the weekend. The 5'11 guard brought intensity on the defensive end, using her length and quickness to help create stops for the Cougars. On offense, Audrey used her long, explosive strides to get downhill to the rim, blowing by defenders in the process. She knocked down several shots from beyond the arc and showed off her court vision and passing, too. In Saturday's matchup against St. Michael-Albertville, Schmidtke contributed 8 points. A high-level athlete with the ability to compete in Division 1 in multiple sports, the Cougars senior is undecided on which she will pursue in college. Selfishly, we hope to see her on the basketball court next winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='782553' first='Amelia' last='Schwendimann'] – 2026 Guard/ Wing, Orono

Over the last 12 months, we've seen Schwendimann make really big leaps in her game. While her skillset has expanded considerably over the years, it's the Orono senior's increased confidence and assertiveness on the court that has impressed us the most. At the Pat Patterson Tournament over the weekend, the 5'10 wing brought the energy on both ends of the floor. Amelia was highly aggressive on the boards, used her length to create deflections and pick up steals, and brought an offensive spark for the Spartans. On Friday she contributed 11 points and 5 rebounds against Minnetonka, and on Saturday Amelia added 11 points, including three made threes, and 6 boards in the win over DeLaSalle.

[player_tooltip player_id='829629' first='Sophia' last='Amundson'] – 2026 Forward, Two Rivers

The Two Rivers senior played a crucial role in Saturday's matchup against Bloomington Kennedy, providing 11 points in the win over the Eagles. Amundson, who plays with an endless motor, was aggressive on the defensive end, relentless on the boards, and showed her versatility, guarding both the perimeter and in the paint. With plenty of length and great hands in the paint, Sophia displayed her skilled post footwork throughout the matchup. The big forward was assertive on the offensive end, fighting through contact around the rim and drawing numerous fouls in the process. When it came to loose ball possessions, the Warriors forward showed no fear, getting on the ground and wrestling for each jump ball.
