Hartzler showed solid game feel, ball skills and north-south speed. In contributing 8 points to a win over Wichita Northwest she scored well on the move and by combining moves within twelve feet. While I would like to see her gain a half-step in lateral quicks and more transition speed with the ball Hartzler brings essential scoring to the Lions.

Phillips-Blevins is a slender perimeter threat that solidly switched between the shooting and point guard roles. Her lateral quickness and transition speed enabled her to create scoring opportunities and defend on the perimeter. Of her 9 points 6 came from behind the arc.

The Lion lead guard is the team's clear floor leader. Pouring in 21 points she scored in transition, by beating defenders off the dribble and from behind the arc. She showed good speed with the ball, her head on a swivel in transition, a sweet little floater in the lane. Schmidt's quick hands were often rewarded when she chose to pick a ball handler or jump a passing lane.

Lewis spent much of the night in foul trouble but in the brief amount of I saw her on the court she showed herself to be a essential Grizzley scorer. The slender guard picked up a couple of buckets in the fourth quarter including off a nice left side take in which she scored through contact with athleticism.

For much of the action Navarette was the primary ballhandler for the Grizzlies. And while she was able to combat pressure with control and use her height and power forward type frame advantage to find teammates to pass I would have really liked to watch her work on the wing or inside. Navarette made solid entry passes. Bounce passes used were especially effective. A game defender, she was the most successful defending in the paint.

Griffin has a large frame and knows how to use it well. Working within twelve feet she got to the hole off the dribble and created shots from the block. She showed headiness working within schemes, passed solidly and cleared rebounds well. Griffin also stepped out and hit a three ball.
