Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at the seven players who earned Most Valuable Player awards for the first day of eight games at the Sophie Cunningham Classic in Columbia.

[player_tooltip player_id='722136' first='Ava' last='Schlotzhauer'] (Tipton): The 5'10" 2026 performance had a dominant performance in the Cardinals' 66-34 victory over Class 4, No. 1 Doniphan. She had 28 points and 12 rebounds while shooting nine of 14 from the field and a perfect four of four from 3-point range. She had a big four-point play in the first half to help the Cardinals break the game open early.

[player_tooltip player_id='791650' first='Dasia' last='Scott'] (Principia): The 6'2" 2027 forward had 26 points and eight rebounds to lead the Panthers to a 78-54 victory over West Plains. She was 12 of 21 from the field, including two 3-pointers. She was a dominant force who was making shots at all three levels. Her mobility is excellent as she is playing some of the best basketball of her career. Her consistency has been tremendous.

[player_tooltip player_id='317348' first='Nevaeh' last='Lucious'] (Incarnate Word): The 6'4" 2026 Missouri State recruit scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Red Knights' 68-25 victory over St. Teresa's Academy. She led a very balanced scoring attack in the Red Knights' one-sided victory.

Savannah Swords (Long Island Lutheran): The 6'2" 2026 forward scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds in LuHi's 64-53 victory over upset-minded Staley in one of the featured games of the evening. The University of Kentucky recruit was seven of 10 from the field and three of four from 3-point range. She is a very skilled forward who can handle the ball and stretch the floor with her perimeter shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id='803056' first='Simone' last='Walker'] (Rock Bridge): The 6'2" 2027 forward scored 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the Bruins 52-40 victory over Olathe South in the final game of the day. She has a nice combination of power and finesse in her game as she can use her physicality to score inside, yet also handle the ball and pass it like a playmaker.

Harper Winter (Blue Valley North): The 5'8" 2029 guard scored a game-high 28 points in North's 64-45 victory over Battle in the opening game of the event. She was nine of 18 from the field and she made three 3-pointers. She was the most impressive young player of the first day.

Grace Ribauldo (School of Osage): The 5'7" 2027 guard scored a game-high 23 points in Osage's 69-27 victory over Fulton. She had a strong all-around game with five rebounds and five assists along with making three 3-pointers.

Amayah Gracia (Faith Family Academy): The 5'10" 2026 guard had 13 points and five rebounds in Faith Family's 53-50 victory over Cardinal Ritter.

OTHER STANDOUTS OF NOTE

[player_tooltip player_id='458975' first='Londyn' last='Parker'] (Staley): The 5'9" 2026 guard scored a team-high 20 points against Long Island Lutheran. The Arizona recruit was eight of 13 from the field. I was very impressed with her ability to get downhill on the dribble along with her pull up jumper from the mid-range area. She was really knocking those shots down at a high rate.

[player_tooltip player_id='1303502' first='Tiyelle' last='Frye'] (Battle): The 6'2" 2028 forward had 18 points and 12 rebounds in the opening game against Blue Valley North. Tiyelle is definitely one of the most improved players in the 2028 class state wide. She the height and length and her skill level has continued to emerge. She scored 31 points in a game last week in the Spartan Classic at Battle.

Eve Long (Olathe South): The 6'3" 2027 forward had 23 points, eight rebounds, three assists and three blocks against Rock Bridge in the last game of the evening. The high major Division I prospect can do a little of everything and she has the height and athleticism to make it all work for her.
