Las Vegas Classic breakout performers

The recent Las Vegas Classic had over 40 teams from all over the country, and several teams that are ranked in the top 50 on various national publications. There were several players from Arizona that turned in breakout performances throughout the weekend. Here are my breakout performers.    [player_tooltip player_id='928305' first='Hala' last='Aoufe'] is under the radar right now in Arizona but not for long. Unfortunately she was sidelined as a freshman last season and is just now coming into her own. She is a prototype Small Forward. She can rebound well and she can defend multiple positions. She is a good shooter and she handles the ball well in traffic for her size. She is averaging just under 12 points a game this season, and she showed a lot of grit at the Classic, playing well against stellar competition. She is a tough player that will continue to grow and develop. I have her as an up and coming prospect that will definitely play on the next level.     Even though [player_tooltip player_id='1197249' first='Jayda' last='Haley'] is already known as an outstanding player, she is not well known in the Phoenix area. Yet. She moved to Phoenix over the summer from Tucson where she had an amazing first two years at 3A Sabino HS. At the Classic, the newcomer from Campo Verde showed she definitely belonged with some of the best players in the Country. She shot the ball well, she played outstanding defense and she made big plays when needed. Look for Haley to be a top recruit in Arizona within the next year.     [player_tooltip player_id='1254010' first='Karlee' last='Zender'] is an intriguing prospect in Arizona that will only continue to get better and better. She has great size and length for a Freshman. Gilbert was in the Platinum Bracket at the Classic, despite losing their All Region star [player_tooltip player_id='598979' first='Aspen' last='McClees']. Zender did a nice job defending in the post and she showed some toughness on both ends of the floor. She runs the floor well and she can score in the post and from mid range. Look for [player_tooltip player_id='1254010' first='Karlee' last='Zender'] to start climbing up the rankings the next few years.     [player_tooltip player_id='758873' first='Star' last='Nwabichie'] is an under the radar player from Paradise Honors that could play a huge role for the team as they move towards the post season. She is averaging 10 points a game which gives the Panthers a 3rd scorer which will be critical for them when they hit the playoffs. She is also a big presence in the paint that can rebound and alter shots, and she can add critical points off of offensive rebounds. She will definitely capture the eye of local scouts and colleges as a player that can make the transition to the next level.     [player_tooltip player_id='870683' first='Anna' last='Manning'] is another up and coming prospect that has tremendous potential. I see her as a Shooting Guard on the next level and she has good size for that position. She is a terrific 3 point shooter that can hit off the dribble or catch and shoot. She is a solid ball handler and passer, and she can run the floor well. If she gets going more on the offensive end for the Coyotes, they will definitely be a contender in the Open Division for a State Title.
