Freshman guard [player_tooltip player_id='1255332' first='Brooklyn' last='Williams'] of Millennium wasted no time making her presence felt against Hamilton. She came out blazing, giving the Tigers an immediate offensive spark. Williams was getting downhill at will, putting pressure on the defense by attacking the lane, and she showed real confidence from deep, knocking down multiple threes. For a freshman to play with that level of pace and control speaks volumes.

Henry showed exactly why experience matters. After starting slow, she completely flipped the switch in the second half and became the engine behind the Huskies' upset win over Millennium. Henry did her damage in multiple ways, getting to the free throw line and knocking them down (10-10), hitting timely shots, and locking in defensively. When Hamilton needed poise and leadership, she delivered.

Jai of Campo Verde continues to look like a freshman well ahead of her time. In the high-intensity matchup against Gilbert, she had a monster performance. Bogan-Jacobs was aggressive getting into the lane, played with confidence, and completely owned the glass. Pulling down an unofficial game-high 17 rebounds from the guard position is impressive at any level, but especially for a freshman.

Tess, the sophomore point guard for Gilbert, did everything she could to keep her team in the fight. She was aggressive in attack mode, knocked down multiple three-pointers, pushed the pace in transition, and consistently got herself to the free throw line. Ivy finished with a team-high 23 points, showing her ability to score at all three levels. Her confidence and competitive edge were on full display, and she continues to establish herself as a go-to option for the Tigers.
