Winter Rankings Update: 2029 New Additions Part 1

These are the newest additions to the 2029 class. <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/dakotas/rankings/north-dakota-rankings/2029-rankings/">FULL 2029 RANKINGS - CLICK ME!</a>    Paige started every game as an 8th grader last season and produced some impressive numbers.  She averaged 9.6 points per game and 7.9 rebounds, breaking the school record for most rebounds in a season.  She plays with tremendous effort and relentlessly pursue rebounds on each end of the floor.  She is a really good defender for her size, oftentimes matched up with bigger opponents.  She competes hard and does a great job of fighting for position around the basket.     MaCada was a backup point guard last season as an 8th grader.  She has great vision on the floor, proven by the fact she broke the school record for assists in a season.  She is doing a good job of continuing her stellar varsity play into her ninth grade season.  Her ability to find the open girl is evident and she is a very unselfish player.  She does a nice job of getting downhill, drawing two defenders, and finding the open girl.  She has a nice shooting form and should be a quality scorer throughout her high school career.     Kennedy is an impressive athlete who found herself on the varsity floor the first weekend of the season.  She played a lot of quality minutes and has potential to be a key player this season for the Roughriders.  She plays with great effort and makes it a point to try and defend and rebound.  She is just learning the varsity speed of play and will be a much more polished player once she gets a few more games under her belt.     Annie is one of two freshman on the Shanley varsity roster. She is someone who will be competing for a role on this year's squad and will be a quality starter in the future. She has big potential as a player due to her 5'10 frame. Her length and athleticism gives her a clear advantage over other prospects in her class. She is fast up the floor and cuts on a dime. She is a tough defender and isn't afraid to get into opponents and rip the ball away.     I checked in with Fargo South Head Coach about 2029 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1550019' first='Ellie' last='Drege'].  He had some great things to say about the long forward.  She is a great kid who works very hard on both sides of the floor.  She is fearless going to the basket and will be a good finisher as she grows into her frame.  She is an athletic player who is going to be a solid player for the Bruins going forward.     Mohagen played a lot of junior-varsity last season and did a great job of using that experience to be ready for an opportunity to contribute this season. I always encourage younger players to take advantage of playing against their team's varsity at practice and looking at it as an opportunity to get better each day. When a team's varsity is really good, the junior varsity really has an opportunity to improve. Emree took advantage and is off to an effective start as a freshman. She is a strong 5'8 and can defend girls bigger than her. She has good fundamentals around the rim. She flashes across the lane and meets the pass to limit turnovers.
