4A Players To Watch in MPSSAA

The Maryland Public school playoffs have just started and there are plenty of good prospects to look out for in the 4A division. Let's take a look at some of them. Mya is the heart of the team and plays way bigger than her size. She is a relentless offensive rebounder and gives her team multiple extra possessions every game. She is physical and has a nice touch around the hoop. She draws a lot of fouls which helps her team get into bonus situations. She has the ability to face up and knock down mid range shots as well. Lanaya is a versatile combo guard that will leave her fingerprints all over every game. She's the team's leading scorer, she will crash the boards and will come up with multiple steals every game. She's the tone setter for the program and her teammates will follow her lead. She's quick and athletic and plays without fear. Alana is an athletic and long wing that can stretch the floor with her 3 point range. She's more dangerous attacking off the bounce and slashing to the rim where she's a good finisher. She draws a lot of contact and makes her foul shots. On defense she is a catalyst in the press and as on ball defender. Ashley is a speedy point guard that controls the pace the game and has great vision. She is fundamentally sound and can deliver all the necessary passes, including post entry. Her solid handle allows her to change directions quickly and she can make shots from all over the floor. She's very poised and holds up under pressure. Jordyn has been a bright spot for Severn Run this season, putting up a bunch of points and handling the ball. She has a knack for getting to the basket where she finishes through contact. She has improved her range out to the three-point line so she's a threat to score from all three levels.
