A Quick Look at 5 2029 Class Debuters

Physically she brings good size and length to the table. Defensively she anticipates passes well to jump the lanes, jumps to the ball well rebounding and scores it athletically. Koontz has handles to weave through transition traffic and is unafraid to shoot the turnaround jumper over a defender. She has had several games with multiple makes. And while she has a light frame she shows handle to get to the hole off the dribble. Kramer runs well, has lateral quickness and hand speed to be an effective half court defender as well. She has good length at the shooting guard position, scores well on the fly and shoots an arching and soft shot. Defensively she challenges and walls up well on interior shots. The Cardinals have been one of the top four teams in 4A this season and Lewis has been a significant piece of the puzzle. Fresh off winning the Southern Plains Iroquois Activities Association tournament for the first time in 20 years Walker and company are sitting atop the Caldwell 1A D II sub-state standings with a 15-1 record. She leads the team in scoring (12.2) and steals (6.3) and is second in rebounding (4.8). A big stat is her solid 1.46 assists-to-turnover ratio. A big part of her game is being disruptive defensively at the top of full court pressure and in Blue Jay schemes to attack ball handlers in the half court.
