The 2026 rankings update went live yesterday, and today, we have some rankings content articles to share about the stock risers and new names added to the final iteration of the 2026 rankings. The first article I'll post will feature the stock risers in the class, and we'll close the day with some new additions to the top 100.

[player_tooltip player_id='1045830' first='Raya' last='Shaw']

The Eau Claire native and University of Missouri-St. Louis commit has always been a talented defender who has routinely taken some of the most challenging assignments in Northwest Wisconsin. Shaw has developed into a more well-rounded offensive threat with excellent scoring performances in her senior season. Namely, in a holiday tournament against Grafton. I like how much more confident she looks offensively and how aggressive she's been in her final year of high school basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id='766616' first='Maddie' last='Chabot']

Before an injury in her senior season, Chabot was arguably one of the best back-to-the-basket post players in Wisconsin. Her ability to finish around the basket with either hand was a significant asset for a talented Pewaukee program, and she was a double-double threat whenever she stepped on the floor when I saw her earlier this season. The Washington University in St. Louis commit is a player with all the tools to excel at the Division 3 level and should have a productive four-year career in Missouri.

[player_tooltip player_id='509696' first='Emma' last='Close']

I feel Close has played her best basketball in her high school career in her senior season and has been more aggressive than ever. Close has always been a talented spot shooter and can knock 40% of the shots she takes beyond the three-point line. However, I've been most impressed by how well Close has attacked the basket and finished around the basket. She has played through contact well in every game I've seen her play in her senior campaign, and may have at least one and-one in each of the four games I've seen her play this season. Close will continue her playing career in the Mid-American Conference at the Division 1 level with Northern Illinois University.

[player_tooltip player_id='1224753' first='Dylan' last='Romero']

Romero is a versatile player who can defend multiple positions because of her foot speed and physicality. The Brookfield native has handled the ball and initiated offense for the Lancers, along with defending post players; if that tells you the level of responsibility Romero has had over the last handful of seasons. She has the tools to be an impactful player early in her collegiate career at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where she will play in the CCIW.
