Twice times this week I have seen lower seeded teams in a region knock off a team that beat them soundly earlier in the season. That trend almost continued Saturday afternoon as Tallulah Falls jumped out to quick lead to start the game. Led by two very good '27 post prospects and a couple skilled guards from Spain, Tallulah Falls had a chance to pull off the upset, but the seniors from Loganville Christian were not going to let that happen on their home floor in the last regular season game of their careers. Several players stood out in this exciting matchup.

Cyrus once again impressed running the point forward position for the majority of the game for Loganville Christian. A role she has mastered the last few years and one she will continue in college. Cyrus' movement at her size is a rare quality. couple that with her ability to handle the ball and she is a matchup nightmare for almost every team that LCA plays. She is a walking double-double and when she asserts herself scoring the ball, Loganville Christian can play with anyone. Cyrus recently committed to her future home and that announcement should be coming very soon.

Washington gave Loganville Christian a huge and much needed lift off the bench when the Lady Lions' offense was sputtering early in the first half. Washington is a pass-first point guard with excellent quickness and lateral movement. She competed hard on the defense end creating chaos for Tallulah Falls with her on ball pressure. She did a really nice job pushing the ball in transition and running the offense when her team needed it and was the spark that turned the game around. Washington will play at Carleton College in Minnesota next year.

Murphy played a big part in LCA's comeback playing very good defense on the ball and when the Lady Lions applied full court pressure. Murphy did a nice job running the floor on the break and finishing in transition. Murphy stepped up when her team needed some energy and a spark making several plays that helped win her team the game.

Kafsky stood out in warm ups with her size and ability to move. That translated quickly into the game where she was constantly cutting to the basket, setting screens, popping out to the wing and free throw making herself available, often in great spots to score. Kafsky, who also plays soccer, was skilled with the ball when she got it around the rim. She rebounds and defends very well. LB is a player with a lot of potential. She has the size, skill, and athleticism to be a college player. She would benefit greatly from playing travel ball with a good organization.

Klara's skill on offense was evident earl and often. She, like Kafsky, has great size and moves really well. She utilized a quick, effective shot fake on the perimeter twice which got her defender in the air and then Klara drove and finished in the paint. She has very good shooting form and is consistent from 12-15 feet. Dvorakova plays with a very high IQ and plays with efficiency. She is another kid who absolutely can play in college and help a team win games if the situation is correct.

Beltran, who came to the United States from Spain, played like a typical European point guard- got the ball where it needed to go on offense without turning the ball over, knocking down open shots from the perimeter when she was open, and played good, solid man to man defense. Beltran quietly went about her business and was very effective. There was no flash and all substance. She will continue to improve as she becomes more comfortable in this country.

Alejandro, like Beltran, is a player from Spain with very good fundamentals and basketball intelligence. Where Beltran is more of a facilitator, Alejandro's job for Tallulah Falls is give them scoring presence on the perimeter. Ines did just that on Saturday scoring from all three levels which gave her talented teammates in the post room to operate. Alejandro used her vision and made several nice passes to the bigs before relocating and getting herself set to catch and shoot.
