I spent the last two days in Northwest Wisconsin and Minnesota, and saw some entertaining basketball in both games I watched, whether it was Eau Claire Memorial vs. Hudson or the game in Minnesota today between Providence Academy and Waunakee. We'll see what the next few weeks hold, but I'm eager for an exciting end to the season to see where things end up. However, before I go to bed tonight, let's talk about some players from America's Dairyland.

I'm not sure if people around Wisconsin realize how skilled [player_tooltip player_id='751276' first='Olivia' last='LaBlanc'] is as a basketball player. Coming off two knee injuries, it's fair to assume that she'll continue to improve over time. However, what she can do as a mismatch hunter is something that few other teams can say they have a player who can do the same as LaBlanc. She is among the best passers in the state, and she reads the game at an elite level. She is a player who could earn a handful of scholarship opportunities this summer and take another step in her senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039264' first='Taylor' last='Klingbeil']

The Medford native is a talented ball-handling wing who has been the focal point of the Raiders' offense. Klingbeil is a player who has gotten downhill well and finished around the basket. She has likely been the first name on opposing scouting reports, and has still found ways to be effective offensively. The junior is another player in the 2027 class who will garner plenty of attention over the summer because of her skill and physical tools.

[player_tooltip player_id='1359333' first='Piper' last='Moyer']

The Adams-Friendship wing is an athletic multi-sport athlete who can change the game in multiple facets with her athletic tools. Moyer has been an excellent rebounder and has excelled at finishing around the basket. She has a quick jump, which allows her to finish over the top of defenders around the basket. I also like her ability to move her feet defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='1228818' first='Rianna' last='Dye']

The 6'2 post player from Platteville is an intriguing prospect who could be a steal in the 2027 class if she wants to play at the next level. Dye is a player who can rebound the ball at a high level and finish around the basket. She has the power to play through contact around the basket and hold her ground defensively around the basket. There is room to grow, but there is plenty to like about what she brings to the floor as a junior.
