<p>In a Metro League showdown on Tuesday night, the No. 8-ranked Jesuit Crusaders upset the No. 6-ranked Southridge Skyhawks 72-52 behind a dominant double-double—36 points and 13 rebounds—from 6-foot-4 sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1013188' first='Ceanna' last='Forney']. The Crusaders led start to finish, and ignited a 30-5 run in the third quarter that the Skyhawks could not overcome.</p>

<p>Jesuit (13-5, 5-0) remains undefeated in the competitive Metro League and currently stands alone at the top of the table. Southridge (11-7, 4-1) moved to second place. The rivals meet again on Feb. 24.</p>

<p>Forney had the hot hand from the start, scoring from all three levels and netting 16 of the Crusaders' 18 first-quarter points. Southridge hung in as a team and trailed by 5 points (18-13) after the opening frame.</p>

<p>Freshman point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1264926' first='Sam' last='Harris'] opened her account for the Crusaders in the second quarter, driving to the rim, hitting from the perimeter, and getting to the line. Jesuit led by 8 points (35-27) at halftime. The young playmaker ended the night with 14 points and 6 assists.</p>

<p>Southridge cut the deficit to 4 points early in the third quarter, but Jesuit responded immediately and pulled away, ending the frame up 57-38. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='842706' first='Amani' last='Lubrano'], who came off the bench for the Crusaders, led the start of the 30-5 scoring run (that continued into the final frame) with 9 points and finished the game with 12 points from 4 three-pointers made.</p>

<p>Then came the dagger at the start of the fourth quarter. Forney nailed a three-pointer at the top of the arc, extending Jesuit's lead to 22 points. The Crusaders led wire to wire, and by as many as 29 points.</p>

<p>Southridge senior point guard [player_tooltip player_id='832605' first='Sara' last='Mangan'] led the Skyhawks with 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1231681' first='Camryn' last='Herzberg'] added 14 points and 5 rebounds.</p>

<p>Jesuit 6-foot sophomore power forward Dulcie Cleeland had a strong game inside on both ends and held 6-foot-1 power forward [player_tooltip player_id='921397' first='Addison' last='White'] to 7 points. Cleeland added 6 points and 6 rebounds for the Crusaders.</p>
