The one-seed belongs to red-hot Woodland-Stockbridge, winners of 14-straight. The Wolfpack haven't cracked the Top 10 yet this season but after losing 62-46 at two-seed Jones County back in December, Woodland scored a 62-54 win on January 22 to take sole possession of first place. Prior to Jones County beating Woodland in December, the Greyhounds were upset at Stockbridge 51-46 before winning 73-34 in the rematch but that slip up cost the Top 10 ranked Hounds the top seed. Either way, both teams are state playoff bound as they sit and wait in the semifinals. Georgia Southwestern-signee [player_tooltip player_id='1222933' first='Kamiyah' last='Adams'] (19 ppg, 10.8 rpg, 1.6 apg, 2.1 spg – Jones County) and [player_tooltip player_id='1258623' first='Jada' last='Little'] (14.2 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 3.6 apg, 3.8 spg – Woodland) were named Co-Region Players of the Year. [player_tooltip player_id='476501' first='Aubrey' last='Norris'] holds D-II and D-III offers in the Jones County backcourt as one of the most complete players in the region, averaging 13 points, 6 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 3.2 steals. Three-seed Stockbridge boasts a three-pronged attack paced by [player_tooltip player_id='968092' first='Jaila' last='Scott'] (17.8 ppg), Ashley Richburg (12.1 ppg) and La'Kayla Helms (11.9 ppg). Four-seed Union Grove is young but dangerous. Senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='518389' first='Maegan' last='Jenkins'], a lefty, anchors the Wolverines inside, the Savannah State-signee a powerful finisher with stretch capabilities averaging 12.8 points and 5 rebounds. Six-seed ELCA has one of the top scorers in the region with [player_tooltip player_id='743287' first='Jazmine' last='Lopez'] averaging 18 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 3 steals. Seven-seed Hampton is a dark horse to make the state playoffs. They have underachieved at 13-12 overall and 9-9 in region play with one of the best frontcourts in the state. 6-foot-4 [player_tooltip player_id='476463' first='Trinity' last='Grant'] has received D-I interest and offers over the course of her career, a double-double machine averaging 12.2 points, 14 rebounds and 1.8 blocks. [player_tooltip player_id='899152' first='Ayana' last='Roberts'] is a strong, bouncy post putting up 11.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks. If the Hornets can pound the ball inside and knock down some perimeter shots, they could play spoiler.
