She has strong footwork around the basket, allowing her to finish against taller defenders, and once she gets a step on her primary defender, she does a great job using her body to keep them on her hip and protect the ball. Tatum thrives in transition, pushing the pace and consistently getting out in front for easy finishes. Defensively, she has excellent hands and anticipation, jumping passing lanes and disrupting plays before they develop. On the defensive end, she brings constant energy, using her hands to pressure ball handlers and make possessions uncomfortable.
