With every ranking update, new players are discovered, and some make their rankings debut pretty high on the charts. These five seniors are making their debuts in these rankings, right before taking the next step in their basketball careers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1799591' first='Mia' last='Griffin'] was incredible all year long for 1A-6 Dermott, and there are plenty of reasons as to why she is inside the top-30 of the 2026 ranking.

During her senior season, Griffin averaged 30.5 points per game, surpassed over 1,200 points in her career, and was named an all-state selection. Her scoring is incredible, and she destroys defenses in a variety of ways.

Griffin has a great handle and can weave through traffic without any issues, getting herself to the paint with ease. Once she is in the interior, she can absorb contact and stretch to the basket, or she can stop on two feet and shoot a floater. She draws so much defensive attention on those drives that she can hit an open teammate with a pass on the outside. Griffin's game extends to the perimeter as well.

If Griffin isn't putting defenders in a spin cycle with her handles, then she is probably stepping back and nailing 3-pointers. As soon as she crosses half-court, defenders need to pick her up. She is a deadly shooter who hits pull-up jumpers in transition as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1799591' first='Mia' last='Griffin'] was one of the most underrated players in the state this year, and I hope that colleges recognize her incredible game, because there are several schools where she could already be their starting point guard.

Like Griffin, [player_tooltip player_id='1799578' first='Ja'Riyah' last='Durham'] was balling this year for Augusta, which locked up a 1-seed in the 1A state tournament.

Durham averaged about 14 points per game this past season, and she really took defenders by storm in mid-February when she put up a career-high 36 points and 5 steals.

Durham is clearly a high-octane scorer who can beat up defenders from both the inside and outside. Durham uses her quickness to get by the defense and get to the paint. Her defense is also noteworthy, being a pest on the perimeter and coming away with multiple steals and deflections every game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1799578' first='Ja'Riyah' last='Durham'] is definitely a star, and I also see a college basketball future for her.

[player_tooltip player_id='1807212' first='Lacy' last='Albright'] will be moving on to the collegiate level to play for John Brown, and it is no surprise, especially after such a strong senior season.

Albright had plenty of notable performances, including towards the start of conference play, where she averaged 18 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 blocks across three contests. Her improvements between her junior and senior years are notable, as she was averaging just 8.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game as a junior before her massive step up this past season.

At 6'0", Albright is a walking mismatch. She loves to attack the basket, and she cannot be guarded by smaller guards, as she can simply score over them. If a big is guarding her, then she can use her quickness to get around them or pop out to the 3-point line and nail a jumper.

After an all-state season, [player_tooltip player_id='1807212' first='Lacy' last='Albright'] will be moving on to the college level, and with her solid inside-out scoring ability, she should have an immediate impact at John Brown.

Zakaria "Tink" Brown had a great 2025-26 season, where she earned an all-state selection.

The lefty combo guard was a hard player to stop when she had it going, averaging 25 points per game at one point during non-conference. During a non-conference bout in December against the eventual 2A runner-ups, Sloan-Hendrix, Brown put up 31 points. This game was hosted at Arkansas State University, and she looked very comfortable scoring on a college basketball floor.

Brown is a lot to deal with when she has the ability to create her own shot. She keeps her handle low to the ground, and she is very shifty, getting into the paint without any trouble. She can score through traffic, but you have to respect her outside shot, because she will drain shots off the dribble. Brown keeps her head up at all times, and even in traffic, she is looking for open teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='1806771' first='Zakaria' last='Brown'] is such a great scorer, and there was no reason why she was not going to be added to the rankings.
