Mia Griffin Mia Griffin CG Dermott | 2026 State AR was incredible all year long for 1A-6 Dermott, and there are plenty of reasons as to why she is inside the top-30 of the 2026 ranking.
During her senior season, Griffin averaged 30.5 points per game, surpassed over 1,200 points in her career, and was named an all-state selection. Her scoring is incredible, and she destroys defenses in a variety of ways.
Griffin has a great handle and can weave through traffic without any issues, getting herself to the paint with ease. Once she is in the interior, she can absorb contact and stretch to the basket, or she can stop on two feet and shoot a floater. She draws so much defensive attention on those drives that she can hit an open teammate with a pass on the outside. Griffin’s game extends to the perimeter as well.
If Griffin isn’t putting defenders in a spin cycle with her handles, then she is probably stepping back and nailing 3-pointers. As soon as she crosses half-court, defenders need to pick her up. She is a deadly shooter who hits pull-up jumpers in transition as well.
Mia Griffin Mia Griffin CG Dermott | 2026 State AR was one of the most underrated players in the state this year, and I hope that colleges recognize her incredible game, because there are several schools where she could already be their starting point guard.
