We are down to the final four with the Division 2 state semi-finals starting Friday. Today I will be pointing out one player, from each team, that will be key to their team's chances of taking home the gold ball on Saturday.

[player_tooltip player_id='533077' first='Adaline' last='Sheplee']-Rice Lake

Rice Lake rolls into this year's tournament (their 2nd straight) as the #1 seed with a 25-3 record with all three loses coming against Division 1 teams. Last season ended in disappointment as the Warriors fell in the semi-final game to Edgewood. One player determined to not let history repeat itself is future Wisconsin Badger, [player_tooltip player_id='533077' first='Adaline' last='Sheplee']. The 6-3 Ms. Basketball finalist is having a great season in capping off a historic career. Averaging 28.2 ppg, 8.9 rpg, 3.8 apg, 2.7 spg, her continued dominant play will be critical in the Warriors bringing home the gold ball Saturday.

[player_tooltip player_id='533067' first='Nataya' last='Donaldson']-Beaver Dam

#4 Beaver Dam has their hands full as they matchup against the aforementioned Warriors on Friday. The 22-6 Golden Beavers rolled through the Sectional winning by a 19.5 point margin of victory. Critical to Beaver Dam's chances are 5-9 senior [player_tooltip player_id='533067' first='Nataya' last='Donaldson']. The future UWM Panther has had a solid final season averaging 17.3 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 1.6 apg, and 1.4 spg while shooting over 57% from the floor and 70% from the line. She will need to approach career night territory to help pull the massive upset.

[player_tooltip player_id='751283' first='Rowan' last='Counsell']-Whitefish Bay

24-4 Whitefish Bay comes into Friday as the #2 seed and has beaten their tournament opponents by an average of 30 per game. The player that stands out, to me, is 5-7 junior [player_tooltip player_id='751283' first='Rowan' last='Counsell']. The Blue Dukes success will be tied to how Counsell does in these next two games. For the season she is averaging 21.4 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 3.3 apg, and 4.0 spg while shooting over 50% from the floor, 38.6% from three, and 85.1% from the free-throw line and has Whitefish Bay as the favorite to make it into the title game Saturday.

[player_tooltip player_id='533068' first='Kyrin' last='Lile']-Elkhorn

Lile, a three-sport athlete and UWGB commit jumps out to me as the key to 24-4 Elkhorn pulling off the upset on Friday. The 6-1 senior is averaging 16.3 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 4.4 apg, 1.9 spg, and 1.9 bpg. She is shooting 50.7% from the floor, almost 40% from three and her length could give Whitefish Bay problems.
